Yes mistakes have been made, yes the club is moving forward, yes any side would miss their best players out all season but thats not the point, people are ****ed off with managers being appointed no one wanted(Dowie) ,the failure to see weare team crying out for a quality goalscorer, the disgraceful treatment of Sousa, the arrogance of Fatboy, the incompetence of Paladini, the 4 year contracts for players clearly not good enough etc etc, I love my Rangers and will still go but just pick my home games more carefully
Easy! did i at any point aim this at you. although i don't know if you are privvy to club information that i am not but where are your figures re season ticket sales coming from? is it from message boards such as this by chance or is the something from the club saying season ticket sales down by 6000? if so i have missed it. i agree with alot of your points Dowie was a poor choice, goalscoring was our problem we missed the 30 odd goals that our injured players would probably provided buz and pat were probably good for 10 each and rowly and vine would normally be expected to get 7 or 8 each,
But i think the disgraceful treatment of sousa extended beyond people at the club.

    • Just to make a point over 'consistency of selection' - Alex Ferguson hasn't played the same team in consecutive games for 59 games (Wednesday will be 60).

It's the lack of quality in the squad that matters, not the tinkering. Our strikers didn't take their chances and our midfield didn't take the pressure off them by pitching in either. That's where we missed Rowlands and Buzsaky.

      • There are fans out there wanting a 20 goal a season striker yet the same people don't want to buy a season ticket.

Those fans can't have it both ways or if they do they are acting like spoilt children.

I still feel Dowie would have done ok had he had the full support of everyone including the fans. A lot of fans did not take to him from the start. To be fair it was him and not Sousa that sorted our defence out.

If these season ticket numbers are anywhere near correct, I think it says far more about how fickle QPR fans really are. I'm sick to death of hearing about heritage and all that crap. This club would be back in Division one at best i was not for Briatore and Co, so where the hell does heritage get you.

Newcastle have had their problems off the field this year and ended up getting relegated yesterday. I bet their fans do not refuse to buy season tickets.

I just do not get QPR fans not buying season tickets when they can afford them. Selecting particular games also is another annoyance. Do you go to the Newcastle, West Brom and Middlesbro games. What about the Tuesday nights against Barnsley.

If you are going to take a stand, just stay away altogether. The club needs to rebuild itself and will need more loyalty than that.

P.S. Please not Magilton (i don't think it will be)

"Scott, agree re atmosphere at away games, however, our home form is going to be crucial if we are going to go forward.

The atmosphere at Loftus Road last season was not good on the whole and that is where we need the support more than anywhere."

You would think the club would do something about that wouldnt you but no, gold banding still for the upper loft despite the poor effect this had on atmosphere last season and the club making decision after decision designed to drive fans away rather then bring them together in support of the team.

The club had all the past evidence to draw on and yet these huighly paid managers and directors keep making the same mistakes. not very good for a club with aspirations to be a 5 star brand.

          • regarding loyalty the club have told us in no uncertain terms just how much they value our loyalty at the moment which is not at all.

Show me where the club values loyalty? go on i dare you

            • Season tickets were capped last year at 10000,I am assuming they reached that figure, renewals are reported to be 3-4000 so thats where i got that figure from,no i am not privvy to club info
Yes you did aim it at me when you said "All of those not renewing" however lets not fall out about it
Sousa had a witch hunt against him on this very board with constant anti sousa threads,he fell out with Paladini and paid the price with some ridiculous double standards

              • They have reduced season ticket prices. THey save your club from certain relefation. They have bought you numerous players, some bad, but many good.

How much more do you want ?

Absolutely. i amazed that some were happy to pay good money for season tickets to watch the likes of sammy koejoe pepper the upper loft and tony scully run down blind alleyways. Yet aren't prepared to pay to watch the likes of busacky, routledge, vine. completely agree its the barnsley , blackpool type of games that need the support not the newcastles and middlesboro which will probably sell themselves

                  • Can see it now. Blackpool coming to us with that loud drum. Holloway will get his three points and fans will cheer him off and laugh at our board.

Some people actually get off on qpr struggling to sell season tickets and then get highly offended when you tell them they are not true supporters.

                          Debate is good.

But, accusing pished off fans of being unloyal is a bit OTT fella. The STs are priced at more than a top 10 football club (Fulham for example).

If for whatever reason people wont renew I see no reason why you wouldnt want to pick and choose the "bigger" games

                            • Scott, people do have a right to do as they choose, however, those same people have no rights to moaning about non investment further down the line. If they don't put money in, then there is no money in the coffers to invest.

We should not expect to be bankrolled.

We are a division one club (accounting wise) playing in the championship.

We should appreciate that we are watching a far higher level of football than we should be given our ticket revenues.

                                Deffo agree.

Now, if the club showed some ambition and stopped messing around with managers people would renew/sign up for the first time.

We had record sales last year in anticipation of investment on and off the pitch..it didnt happen. Now, people are waiting to see who the manager is and if we are linked with some decent players...if we get a good manager ST sales will rise dramatically.

Last year we invested before them. This year they have to invest before us.
