At home to Swansea, we were lucky to have 8,000 there. Most fans had given up and totally cheesed off with the negative football.

First time for a long time, the players showed a bit of passion and spirit was at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Yet again when you have no strikers what do you expect!

I'm certainly not grated by yours.

By the way, no one is even mentioning it. Great to see 6-7,000 fans turn up at Old Trafford.

Rangersroar he had 5 strikers. De Canio would have go them scoring. Just an opinion of course
You could have 50 strikers, but if they are poor, nothing anyone does is going to change that. Sousa got the defence as tight as any in the league, so I beleive he would have had just as much success with decent strikers.

        No strikers?

        Blackstock
        De carmine
        Ageymang
(okay got injured, played as right winger?) good scoring record under De canio
        Helguson
        Balanta

        and then even had Tarrabdt.

No, problem was playing 1 up front. Could have had 10 strikers at the club, no ppoint if your only gonna play one.

        So whats your point?

This I agree with but it doesn't mean we'd have been a better side. What you fail to understand is Sousa was never allowed to build his own team buy his own striker(s) which would have fitted into the system he wanted play.

Under De Canio we might score more but under Sousa we'd concede less, it's all about finding an equlibrium and believe Sousa would have found that building on a strong defence. In all fairness if Helguson had converted half the chances he had since signing for us I'm pretty sure we'd have scored at least another 10 goals this season. You continually blame Sousa personally I think the players let us down, we were creating chances at times but failing to convert. Sousa was promised funds in January and never recieved them. Interference from Braitore and Paladini was Sousa's downfall not negative tactics.

"I'm certainly not grated by yours."

ah but i try to avoid saying things like, "its my opinion and thats as close as you can get to fact"

nobody is talking about old trafford because its gone

As for season ticket renewals, i know quite a few including myself who are not renewing because of the short termism of the club the crazy decision to get rid of sousa, the constant pr ######## that comes out of the club, and the juxtaposition between larging it about 5 star brand, blah blah and the actuality of what they actually do in terms of running this football club.

people are not renewing because they don't believe the people that run the club and they dont beleive IN the people that run the club.

I am sure there are some that have made a financial decision but thats not the majority in my opinion, yes peo[ple have lost jobs but there are also people who are paying much less on mortgages etc and ticket prices have come down/

If you and the club want to put it all down to price and dissapointed glory hunters thats fine but the reall issue is far more deep rooted than that and far more dangerous to the long term welfare of our great football club.

W12, I am pretty sure that Flavio would not have interferred with Paulo Sousa. Conceivably it might have happened after not winning for 6-7 games, but Paulo does come across as a very determined character and would not take being told. (just an opinion of course)

peteg, Still maintain price is the main reason. of course perception of how the season will be, plays a big part. If club is to be believed than 10,000 ST were sold last year? I presume, because many fell for the dream being laid out in front of us. No continuity, changing of managers (should get the right one in the first place), having some players that don't play with a bit of pride are all contributory factors.

ok forget last season how many season tickets did we sell the year before that when we had just escaped relegation about to sell our best player and no garuntee of even completing the coming season?

Agree that no continuity of managers is part of it, i dont think its much to do with players playing without pride, a big part of it is that supporters dont feel that they are valued by the clubs owners and managers and are treated as *****s.

Success on the pitch and doubt if it would concern us too much. We would be far happier before and after games if we could win more

How many did we sell the season before, genuine question?

people are not buying season tickets because they simply can't afford them. when we were skint and playing rubbish football people still watched because they could afford them at that time.

i bet you more people will renew if prices are significantly decreased than if they stay as they are and a world class manager is announced.

many also won't renew because they feel they have been poorly treated by the club and rightly so.

i also know many whos descision was made when they sacked sousa. what does that tell you?

Pete you have nobody supporting your argument in this debate but you have 6 or 7 who totally disagree with you, which just goes to show that your opinion represents a tiny minority of QPR fans. You continually quote that you are not entitled to an opinion but nobody has said you aren't entitled to one. What you will never understand is that when people disagree with you it doesn't mean you are right/wrong and they are right/wrong it just means your opinions are different. In this case your opinion though doesn't represent the majority of QPR fans.

In one comment you say that the economic downturn is the reason for poor sales and in another you say that if Sousa were still here people wouldn't buy tickets well which is it? The fact that people have lost jobs and are skint or Sousa? You can't chop and change your argument everytime you are challenged. I've said before and no doubt I'll have to say it again but you are rapidly losing the respect of your readership.

I am saying, we would not have sold more season tickets if Sousa was still in charge.

Some fans didn't turn up for Sousa, when he needed their support.

Cost is big big issue, in renewing for this season. Expectations are also lower than last season

Not contradictory at all. Its only opinion.

As for people disagreeing, you would expect people to respond that disagree, thats what messageboards are for? It has been known that some do agree, with what I say:boss:

the fact is your master ordered you to create a witch hunt against Sousa, which you did relentlessly, who is to say he wont order you to do another if "lucky Jim" goes on a losing run? therfore your rallying call to get behind him and give him a whole season is laughable, you backtrack so many times
