The return of Buzsaky can't come quickly enough; play him off Helguson, with Smith and Taarabt switching in the wide positions, and we'll be a much less predictable side.
Buzz we were told would be fit by December its now January and still no come back date I wouldn't even use him as an example.

As you said HH & RH are 2 very similar players so wouldn't it make sense to have a nippy man playing off of them? ie; Crouch & Defoe, Berbatov & Rooney

      20 shots, 6 on target.

James made a good save from a Hulse point blank header but can't remember much else.

That would mean switching to a 4-4-2, though, and that wouldn't play to the strengths of either Buzz or Adel. I'd like us to bring in a more natural finisher, of course, but mainly as an option to use in the last twenty minutes if we're not winning. The current formation is perfect for the players we have.

NW has said three or four times in the media this weekend that a striker is not a priority. Preventing goals is his key to promotion. He knows we have players who will score from all over the pitch, Hulse he believes will come good ( he can't miss again so much as he did today!). Expect two defenders in and maybe another midfielder, but no striker.

We are second top scorers in the division with a goal difference worth at least a point so its difficult to argue against NW and the board.

NW is also concious of not unsettling the team by adding too many new faces at this stage. We have to trust him
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

I was going to post a similar thread but decided what's the point,as I have been saying this since the the first game of the season.what I will add is that we will NEVER have a better chance to go up and if we blow of because of being tight fisted we will get what we deserve, which will be so hard on us supporters, and let's not pretend everything will be ok just because we want it to be

Adel 12 goals and countless assists. How many have our official strikers got Hulse, Helguson, Agyemang?

Personally I agree we need a better finisher than Hulse, HH and Dave.

I dont know actual stats but I expect our forwards have scored 12 or so between them, 24 odd from Midfield (Adel, Mackie, Smith etc) and 8 from our defenders. So goals come from all over. personally not too bothered who scores or where we score from just as long as we do!

We need one for the front and one for the back -- having Connolly suspended highlighted that need today, and losing Walker too leaves us very thin on the ground.
Up front -- someone who can find the net -- let's get someone before Hull rack 'n' stack every available striker!
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

I agree soton, but Adel will pick up an injury some where down the line, half of Mackies goals were set up by him, Smith has 4, Hulse 1, HH not sure guessing 5-6, Aggy-2?

Just not good enough so clear we need goals upfront. As I said previously without Adel we will struggle to score.

Glad you feel the same way Ric.

Mate of mine is a Swindon season ticket holder and rates him as ther best he has seen there in years.Better than Cox and Painter by a country mile.

We might actually see the best of Hulse, Mackie, Faurlin, Smith etc if Adel was to be injured. We have players capable of stepping up to the plate and sometimes I think Adel's style of play hinders others. Just a thought.

I absolutely pray that never happens. Anything good from QPR goes through Taarabt. Without his creativity, guile & vision we would be bang in trouble that is my honest belief.

Its a difficult one this, historically we have always built a team around one player, Marsh, Bowles, Allen, Ferdinand and agree it will be difficult if we lose Tarrabt to injury.

But I firmly believe we have players capable of taking up the mantle albeit in a different way and style of play. At the moment Adel stands out, but then so has Buzz in the past and I think Smith has a lot more to offer.

Losing Adel may mean reverting to 4-4-2 which may suit us as well as the current system
