christ there were some very average performances out there today from Faulin, Mackie, Hill and Derry but I fail to see how Rob Hulse can command a start in a team who are currently top of the league...

Please feel free to correct me if I am missing something but he is simply not good enough or, he needs someone to make use of the occasional ball that he wins and or knocks on.....

I am mightily ****ed off we failed to win that match but wasn't too surprised that we failed to hang on at the end... I could bang on but I wont as will probably be slated for having the temerity to whinge when we are 5pts clear at the top of the league but unless we get a few fresh faces in, up front and cover at the back and in midfield we will not get promoted automatically with this team....

Hi Warren, funny enough we were saying on the way up it would be good to see big Pat get a start.. the game was crying out for him to have a run at their defenders...

Back to Hulse though he adds so little to our team I just cannot understand how he stays on the pitch after some glaring misses.. his head must be a very odd shape judging by the ridiculous angles that the ball flies off when it connects with said bonce...:angry:

Didnt he score 30 goals in a season for derby couple years ago, mght be wrong but sure I heard this somewhere. For the record im not keen anyway on these lumps of centre forwards, rather pace and skill then elbows and headers.

definitely we wont promote with the strikers we have and this defense that loose concentration at crucial times, we conceed easly when opposite teams press on us, they can score against us just from 2 or 3 attacks.
the 3 teams that will be promoted are the ones that defeated us this far.
the only nice thing is that we wont be relegated this year.

am all for encouraging but there has to be a point when enough is enough and I think we have reached this point with Hulse.. he's had plenty of time to get fit and show us all what he can do and that IMHO(and others too by the looks of it) is very little.. 1 bundled goal is a paltry return and we need to spend some dough...

Why the heck can't the people with the purse strings see this? I mean they would have amassed their respective fortunes by taking chances so why not with the team? Doesn't seem to make sense...

There is a lot of lethargy out there and not just from so many games in such a short space of time... Can't understand why he didn't bring Rowly on for Derry today who had a poor game.. has he fallen out with Rowly? Hope we have a narrow defeat next week against BRFC and then go on a decent run and win the league but fear we need reinforcements to achieve this aim....

He caused Bristol defence a lot of problems, they had two on him all the time. I think that shows how Bristol Rated him. But at 2-1 up it was job done. But NW has come out and said it was the defenders who cost us.

My old man used to say a good centre forward always has a head like a thruppenny bit!!

I think back to the Cardiff game and hulse had a real blinder. I do feel though like a lot of us that we are crying out for a poacher/goalhanger with pace, who will sniff out a dozen goals on thier own. Hulse and Helguson are Target men who score goals.

nah giving this one a miss as the missus has reminded me just how many games have been to so far this season so will rein it in for a while.. Hope your right about being champions in May and wish I could share your enthusiasm for Hulse....
