Just back and my three main observations on todays game are

    1) Forget City beating cardiff 3 - 0 last time out. The Bristol that turned up today were garbage and totally there for the taking - yet despite numerous chances we weren't good enough to beat them.
We have to buy a Striker - simple as that.

    2) Far too many times we simply "hoof" the ball up towards Hulse and watch him try to hold it up, only for no one to be up in support or no one feeding off him. Which begs the question why do we play the lone target man up front so often at home.
    Especially against such poor opposition.

    3) As much as I want him to be, Hulse is not the goal scorer we so clearly, desperately, need.
Can't remember the last time I saw one man miss so many good chances.
He holds the ball up well. Can't fault him too much for that but he really should have put at least 2 of them chances away today.
They weren't just chances they were GOOD chances and he fluffed them all.

At the end of the day we are still top, have another point and another game has past but we so badly need someone up front to score goals - but then I think we all know that.

We battered them. I would not solely blame Hulse for missing a couple of sitters. Good defending put him off at the key moments, I agree i feel we need a `goalhanger/poacher who can sniff out a dozen a year on his own. Must Have PACE

We did batter them but thats my point - we couldn't beat them.

Hulse missed 4 headers that most decent strikers would have scored and at least one with his feet that a lot would have buried.

I like Hulse, I feel he gets himself in all the right positions but boy oh boy his finishing is seriously poor.
