Well it's got to be Hulse's fault hasn't it? Did we just lose 6-0 or something?
Typical knee-jerk reactions after a dissapointing result (but overall a very good performance).
I merely scoff at these "doggy do-do" statements and console myself that these same people would've been saying he deserved a goal today if we'd of won.
A bit of SUBSTANCE to my arguement and agreement as to how well he played the loan striker role today.
1. Plenty of times Hulse won knock downs out to Tommy Smith, Mackie etc -- he did NOT just flick it on to no-one.
2. I cannot recall a SINGLE header that Brizzles CB's won against him.
3. He carved out 2 chances himself --- missed 'em though obviously!
4. Lost count the number of times he came deep held it up very intelligently and layed off to Adel to run through and then span and got into the box.
5. Forced James into a good save 1st half and also bravely challenged him whenever needed even though a punch in the mush was most likely outcome.
6. He kept offering himself up and getting in positions well.
7. Non-stop effort for 94 minutes.
I could go on but alas it's a school night.
For me i like football to have variation and not punt after punt to the big man to knock it down to the small man. Give me Hulse laying it off to Smudge or Adel any day.
So he didn't score and a couple of misses looked bad but then thats what happens when you play up front.
Fair play Rob Hulse.
Fair play Rangers.
Keep the faith.I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.
