Hulse was terrible today, clearly not the finisher we all expected. On the other side, Clint and Orr played pretty bad today aswell. We definately need to strengthen, its just I can't get rid of the feeling that we aint getting no1 special...

Surely to gain promotion you have to accumulate more points then your rivals? Therefore by extending our lead at the top we are achieving this?

Our rivals results are as important as ours and after 25 matches we have a 5 lead regardless of how many points we have or they have.

Hulse outside the box played a blinder. Held the ball up very well and won almost everything in the air. But inside the box, where it matters for a striker, he was pony. Absolute pony. How can you win everything in the air outside the box and nothing inside the box? But overall, a very good performance e. It was one of those games where we just couldn't take our chances. It happens. It's not the end of the world. It just means that someone very soon is gonna take a battering from us.

It MIGHT be the difference though between investing and not. Those extra couple of points and gap at the top could easily convince NW not to "rock the boat". Instead this could force him into strengthening the squad.

We need another quality defender and defensive minded midfielder so that when we are tiring we can bring on some reinforcements.(a striker as well would of course be nice)

There appears to be a number of players NW doesn't fancy who are just making up the numbers and need replacing (Hall, Rowlands, Vine, German, Leigertwood and maybe even Borrowdale). Add Mahon who doesn't get a look in and you have 7 players IMO who won't feature and are taking a salary - money which could be spent elsewhere.

I dont want to see a striker do a couple of hold ups

It was getting embarrassing in the end seeing him miss great chances

It was plain to see today that he dont fit into the side we have and we need a better striker
