What kind of character do we have in our dressing room?

i think it is important that all the players are in fact pulling the same direction, hence dead wood is a perennial problem to establishing team morale

all the best teams have utilised a minimum number of players so as to maximise the team/squad ethic - didnt mourinho say the perfect squad comprises of 23 players - 2 players in each position with 3 goalkeepers? i think this is a realistic and sensible approach that our board have utterly failed to understand. below is our current squad:

thats about 26 players, but how many our adequate back up or even first team players?

our squad is desperately unbalanced, and i think we need even more of a clear out, and think the following squad should be our aim if we want to make the playoffs:

GK - 1. Cerny and 2.Camp/Another as back up 3.Youth keeper

DL - 1. New player 2. Either delaney or borrowdale

DR - 1. New player 2. Peter Ramage

CB - 1. Gorkss 2. Hall

CB - 1. Connolly 2.Stewart

ML - 1. New player 2. Lee Cook/Ephraim

MR - 1. Routledge 2. Ephraim

MC - 1. Rowlands 2.New player/Lopez

MC - 1.Buzz 2.Ledge/New player

AT - 1. Vine 2. Helguson/Agyemang

AT - 1.New player 2.New player


Thing is, there isn't room in our squad for players like alberti, mahon etc who obviously aren't within such a plan. Also, we don't need both agy and helguson if we buy 2 new strikers (which we need to - also presuming blackstock is going). if we sell/get rid of camp, blackstock, mahon, alberti, agy/helguson, maybe even cook/ephraim we would be able to re-balance and strengthen the squad.

Will it happen?

Think the players need stability of the pitch and a strong voice in the changing rooms. Meaning the coach or manager does just that and know one else.
