  • Bristol C game is no gimme

Seen a few posts suggesting that dropped points v Norwich is no bad result due to their current form, and I agree, but they then go on to say that we ought to get 3 points easily against Bristol City.

Well bad news, unfortunately they are in good form too, and just in case we also drop points against them like Cardiff have today, it's not the end of the world and won't be huge shock and we'll bounce back.

This game of pro football is all about confidence, and teams like Bristol C, Norwich, Hull, Forest, Leeds & Millwall are slowly climbing the table and it would be better to avoid them while they are flying. Hope we do win, but I think we are in for a difficult game.

The 'current form' table doesn't lie http://footballstats.sportinglife.co.../D1/oform.html

Plus Clint Hill and Matt Connolly will miss this game! it'll be a tough game alright, but I still think a winnable one!

Have been on a mixed fans forum and the Bristol City fans are pretty confident of losing. And we usually do well against them at home.

Think we will bounce back with 3 points,so 9 out of 12 would do me fine.

a win would complete a terrific christmas.
if we got 9 out of every four games we play, we will walk this league.

We won't beat bristol city if we start playing squad players like Clarke, Dave etc.

This is our problem we have no strength in depth.

We are the 1st to make excuses when missing key players, yet when Norwich have 5 1st team players out we just ignore it.

To have 1 highlight being showed where dave puts a chance wide I find that rather pathetic. I just hope we respond because the bristol city game is massive.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

to be fair we are pretty strong in depth, its just neil played the wrong striker to try and turn our non scoring centre forward run. (cant blame him for trying i sposse but id rahter he hadnt)
i mean hulse/helguson and agymang on the bench aint a bad ressie list.

QPR probably have the best non scoring strikers in the world - carlsberg

i still think we are deffo going up even if we dont spend, but it will be so frustrating and downright annoying if we dont buy graham or austin or lefondue this week.
its so obvious we need someone, and it would be clever money for the owners to invest, not money down the drain. its GOT to happen this time hasnt it?

Can't see Watford letting Graham go unless it was for silly money.

Would be happy if we got Austin in though as i think he has big potential.

Would only take graham out of that list. Can't see a league 1 and league 2 player making it in the premiership, I mean a good league 1 player is beckford and even he hasn't done anything in the premier.

Ferdinand was a non-league player and look at him.

Some gems have come from non-league in recent years like Boyd and Kightly for example. And Austion scored something like 42 in 42 for Poole before Swindon got him.

id bet my home socks watford would let him go at a realistic offer. straight away they would let him walk. its the nature of the game. same as we have always done all our lives
they aint a one man club, and they would think they could still get play offs and trouser the 3 or 4 million.
im certain if we (or anyone) bid his market value he would be sold in a flash.
