I don't understand the love affair with Clarke, but now we have the norweigian, might never see Clarke start again.

Reminds me of Stefan Moore and Warnock has placed alot of faith in him, even ahead now of Hogan in the pecking order.

Its obvious the gamble on Clarke has not paid off.

You are right Pete, the gamble has not paid off at all.

Even at the start of the game today I was defending the fella but listening to the game & reading the comments it seems you can't defend him. Just not good enough.

Really need to invest in a good front man.

anyone actually know why warnock played clarke ahead of ian hulse and robbie helguson?
so so strange in a game as tricky as that. was there any explanation for him doing this?

Here's Warnock's comments when he signed Clarke.........

At least he's only on a 2 year deal. That's the way to do it, if you're unsure. He was free, too, so nothing much lost, but WHY do we play him ahead of better options???

face saving decision by Warnock,he brought him here when nearly everyone didnt want him here and he was hoping he (clarke)would prove him right, unfortunetly this signing has backfired on him,a shite player who we should never have brought here,Warnocks only bad signing so far.

jokey word play on our ultimate goal scoring poachers with that natural instinct of knowing exactly where the back of the net is.

In a funny way, it's comforting to know that Warnock knew he was a borderline signing - meaning he knows his onions when it comes to players, but it's not comforting to see him playing Clarke despite lacklustre performances.

Interesting, though, that (assistant manager who's name escapes me) said on 'QPR Player' that Clarke is making a good case for himself in training, but can't nail down a shirt when he plays.
