    Between 28th December last season and the 28th December this season we've played 46 matches (23 matches from last season and the first 23 matches from this season) and not surprisingly there is quite a difference between the two sets.

    Also quite a difference between the two teams which started the year and the one that ends it: Cerny, Ramage, Stewart, Williams, Leigertwood, Buzsaky, Watson, Routledge and Simpson all started in the 3-0 loss at Ipswich on December 28th last year.

    28/12/09-02/05/10:
    P23, W6, D6, L11, F20, A32, PTS 24, PPG 1.04
    * 26% Win Ratio
    * 48% Loss Ratio
    * 1.4 goals conceded a game
    * 0.87 goals scored per game
    * 1.04 points per game
    * 20th in the Form Table
    * 28 Points Difference Between Us and 1st

    07/08/10-28/12/10:
    P23, W13, D8, L2, F42, A14, PTS 47, PPG 2.04
    * 57% Win Ratio
    * 9% Loss Ratio
    * 0.60 goals conceded a game
    * 2.04 goals scored per game
    * 2.04 points per game
    * 1st in the Form Table
    * 7 Points Difference Between Us and 2nd

    Combined totals:
    P46, W19, D14, L13, F62, A46, PTS 71, PPG 1.54

    For comparison:
    Crystal Palace
    P46, W12, D12, L22, F47, A77, PTS 48, PPG 1.04

    So our 1st half of the season was as bad as Palace's whole year - a stat which is only improved by their performances last season as this season they are averaging less than a point per game (0.96).

    We all know 2010 was an eventful year, 3 managers, numerous players changes, differences in the board room and gone from nearly relegation to top of the league but in my opinion 2011 won't be any less eventful.

    Happy New Year Everyone!
