  • Why is the atmosphere at our games so bad?

Home and away, we are always pretty quiet in my opinion.

    Why is this the case?

We are absolutely flying, top of the league and seeing some of the best players we have seen at Loftus Road in at least the last 15 years.

Taarabt is producing moments of magic that in my opinion every other player on these shores could not produce as often as him.

We've got a great manager who truly knows what he's doing and that is reflected in his signings of players that many on here were quic to slate before they'd even kicked a ball (Derry and Hill).

So how come our fans are so quiet at games?

With the exception of Cardiff and parts of away games (Leicester after we went 2-0 up and the whole stand was singing Mackie Wonderland, Palace for about 10 minutes after we went 1-0 up, Ipswich and a few others) our fans never seem to really try and get an atmosphere going.

Am I over critical or do I have a point?

This question/theme seems to do the rounds fairly often on this board.

When we travel away this season the support has been fantastic, regularly taking 500 or so more than in previous seasons, 1037 at Cov is a good example of this, I think only 500/550 went last year. The noise levels at away games with our fans is great as all the singers etc are in one place unlike at LR. Someone posted a while ago that more people drink more when we go away which has an effect on noise levels!

Due to the seating set up at LR Gold, silver etc the singers/noisy fans have been split up all over the ground. Some parts, lower loft for one, are like morgues. Stand up and shout , let alone sing, in such areas and people (so called fans) look at you in disgust and amazement so it puts people off starting chants etc.

Re-think the pricing and seating policy for LR, move the family area back to ER, and the lower loft will become a cauldron of noise again
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

We dont do bad once we have scored and winning but it seems tense sometimes when there is that eerie quietness in a stadium of 1000's of people

It's all good having the extra numbers as you'd expect with us doing so well.. I just don't understand why we're still so quiet.. even away from home. Cov away was a fine example.. game sewn up at 2-0, about to go 7 points clear and most of our fans sit there quietly?

          Maybe lone is right.

It really ****es me off and amazes me why people don't get behind the team more.

I've just asked my 13 year old if hes ever seen me refuse to join in with a song and
              he said no.

It must be a mentality thing even the wife cant belive why the Rs fans sit there
              without singing.

yeaa i completely agree we are so quiet away from home the 1st 5 rows from back to the front stand and sing at away games and the rest of our support sit down quietly and i think as we are doing so well more of our fans need to join in in the singing

The Loft End pisses me off all the time. Even if we score a last minute winner in a major game, behind the goal they just don't look that bothered.

The way we're playing at the moment and position we're in, I would expect everyone to be celebrating like every goal was like Furlong's against Oldham.

Posts like this wind me up.

All proper fans on here will always have the passion to be interested enough to question signings we make.

All proper fans will go to games win or lose.

All proper fans will get up for it at the APPROPRIATE moment

This is real passion, if you want Mackie wonderlands every gamr switch on FIFA 11
