Can i allways say as straight down the line as warnocks managment approach is why are people so fooled by some of his comments in the press! If he says we arnt gonna buy anyone its more than like we are going to buy someone...

Rule 1!! Never tell the journo the truth unless its signed sealed and delivered!
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Ok I have to be honest, I wouldn't be happy spending 2.3m on a league 1 player.

To me its a risk, why are we taking risks?

Scoring league 1 goals has been achieved by plenty of poor strikers.

I would expect Agyemang to score plenty of goals at that level.

If we sign him I doubt we would pay more than 1.5m but for me I would rather proven quality. I'd much rather cox on loan because he offers something different.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I think he's quality too. My only worry is it is a HUGE leap between league1 and the Premiership.

Saying that, he is only 20 odd so will improve.

You can only score goals from whats put in front of you, his record speaks for itself:

                2004–2006 Thatcham Town 59 (73)
                2006–2007 Kintbury Rangers 27 (20)
                2007–2008 Hungerford Town 30 (5)
                2008–2009 Poole Town 42 (48)
                2009– Swindon Town 49 (30)

                goals in brackets

I don't doubt the stats, but how could he have played for all those teams? I thought prior to Poole he was on Reading's books where he was released because he wasn't good enough?????

Was he part of their academy/1st year pro, or a non-contract player at Reading?

You might be thinking of Simon Cox?

He was at Reading, before Swindon.

Think Austin was at Reading too.

Ah, my mistake! Both at Reading.

                            Similarities between Cox and Austin.

Charlie Austin has a better goals record, and to be honest... Cox hasn't set the world alight at WBA.
9 goals in nearly 50 games. But that's why he's even on the radar of a second division team, I suppose.

But I'd happily take either... I'd just rather Austin.
He'd be an old school Rangers-type signing.

Question is why are these players slipping under our radar while at non league level.

The likes of Mackail-Smith,McClean,Beckford,Austin even Freddy Eastwood (although he gone shite now) have all come from non league to become very good players.

                                well

well austin is supposedly the finest prospect in the country so we have now got a twenty goal a season striker,at least and he will improve to0 become a thirty goal a season player, when i recomeded this player i didnt think it was possible that we would sign him ,so congratulations once again neil warnock it seems you have once again got a miracle
