Doubt that Warnock is looking at it like that. Judging by how he has selected his team so far he will stick with all the existing players until one is either injured (like Buz) or over a large number of games ceases to perform (Ephraim). Currently the five in midfield are not facing any significant competition - now all of them will probably think they have to raise their game to stay in the team ahead of him.

Adel won't be dropped. Smith is looking the class act I knew he was and mackie is looking all effort and no end product.

That's what I thought, but then the way Neil talked he made him sound more like a Derry or at least a Faurlin type player - emphasised he was a tenacious tackler etc. Be v interested to see him play as to be honest I haven't got much of a clue what to expect.

I really have to ignore negative comments about Mackie. 9 goals, a few assists and by far the hardest worker on the team. He gives the side the much needed enthusiasm and leads by example. He shows plenty of strength when having bigger CB's trying to muscle him off the ball. I hardly ever see any defender deal with the physical side to his game with ease.

I know you don't like him, and can't give him credit, so we'll have to agree to disagree.

And Stain, like you, I don't know much about Moen, but I think we've both read the reports that his rise this season is due to playing in that hole. It's good he can play both flanks as well, but it's great to have a player capable of filling in for Adel, whilst Buzz is crocked.

It'll be interesting to see how he's utilised for us though.

Yeah I think Moon will be a good player and he can also score goals.

Its whether he adapts well to the speed of the game.

Yeah don't rate mackie much mate. Although I can understand why you like him.

He does give his all but I can't remember him doing anything positive and alot of the runs were pointless infact if he ran around in circles it might of been more useful to the team. I think Smith is a much better player and you can see he has played at a higher level. 8 of the 9 goals came after the 1st 6 games. I like to judge on current form ben.

even with smiths goal.. me and a host of people in pub watching the game felt mackie was more effective than smith. smith is quality though.. dont get me wrong.. i feel mackie does a great job for us and will be instrumental in our attempts at promotion.
