he aint 2 millions worth, his next move will be his last ever move in profit. whoever takes that on will lose dough when they sell on after 300 mazy runs across the opponents goal line and zero goals. id bet on it.

          There's only one Jamie Mackie...

Selling Routledge was good business. End of.

get him back and let Warnock work his magic on him
When he was here before he was best player in the team just think if he was man managed (ego stroked like Adel gets) how good he would be...get him back and put him on the wing

He was then ousted by a young man by the name of Aaron Lennon (if memory serves me right?!), who's since gone on to win 20-odd caps. Not content to sit on the bench, he was loaned out to Pompey and Fulham in the Prem.

He then went to Villa, where they brought in yet another England international, Milner. At Villa, he also had another future England international, Ashley Young. Again, he wasn't content to collect a wage from the bench and beyond, so he chose a loan spell at Cardiff. We then bought him in, and soon sold him to Newcastle where he's played 16 times this season.

I personally think that regardless of a questionable attitude, that no one can fault his desire to play the game at the highest level possible, and not just pick up his paycheck.
              Great post Benny.

The thing I didn't like about him was that when he lost the ball, he'd jump up on the spot and cry, instead of trying to win it back.

                  NO THANK YOU.

I stop regarding this as a serious proposition when I got to the price tag: £2m? Does anyone on here seriously think our board would spend that in January on any player, let alone one they sold a year ago to balance the books? For the record I'd like him back but there's next to zero chance.

£2m seems steep, £1m sounds like a fairer price.
