I would have im back in a flash, plan B bringing him off the bench and hulse, could be devastating to the opposition for say the last half hour if we find ourselvs losing or drawing.

To be fair Routledge is a good championship player.
Mackie is a good championship player but mackie lacks ability and is never a premiership player in a million years.
We do overrate mackie as although he works hard his ability is very basic.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

The whole journeyman tag is a bit harsh on Routs. As I've stated before, he left Palarse for a better club. He was then ousted by a young man by the name of Aaron Lennon (if memory serves me right?!), who's since gone on to win 20-odd caps. Not content to sit on the bench, he was loaned out to Pompey and Fulham in the Prem.
He then went to Villa, where they brought in yet another England international, Milner. At Villa, he also had another future England international, Ashley Young. Again, he wasn't content to collect a wage from the bench and beyond, so he chose a loan spell at Cardiff. We then bought him in, and soon sold him to Newcastle where he's played 16 times this season.
I personally think that regardless of a questionable attitude, that no one can fault his desire to play the game at the highest level possible, and not just pick up his paycheck.Your mum would love me...

I'm saying that mackie had a purple patch and I think its harsh to judge WR in the premiership because he is up against evra etc.
Routledge would add much needed pace to our team IMO.
Apart from walker we do lack real pace.
Delighted with how we are doing but would I have WR back? hell yes!I played sunday league football today.

I would have him back def.
ask any footballer in the world what they hate playing against the anwser will be pace. I remember going to derby away last year and he raped them.
I think he would do alright in the pren with a good run in a side, I mean if walcott can make it just through pace, so can wayne.
I will make it clear though, he isn't the greatest player in the world but could do a job.@chrisrobson9
