Since when was Sven "Heskey first name on the team sheet" Goran Erikson a good judge of a player?

wouldnt pay a dina for him, but would deffo have him on loan as another option for when plan b is needed instead of clarke when hulse or helguson are dragged off.
talking iof agymang, how come neil is not bringing him on as super sub anymore after hes done so well in that role?

Agreed SIAL - the article clearly states NW wants him on loan. £3m is what Sousa paid for him in the summer.

Good player playing off HH but not so good in the Smith or Mackie positions. Cox or Paterson @ Burnley are much better at doing both.

Fair point SPC, I don't know much about Waghorn... but to be fair, unless there are injuries to either of them, I really can't see Mackie or Tommy Smith being shunted to one side by Warnock for anybody.

It's not his style... "rocking the boat".
And looking at the league table, as well as the amazing spirit we clearly have in the team - which Smith and Mackie are central to... it's hard to argue with that policy.

I think any striker we sign is basically a replacement for (and an improvement on) Pat Agyemang.
I think Warnock would like to switch to 4-4-2 during games a lot more than he has - and maybe even start with a 4-4-2 in certain games... but just doesn't see Agyemang as good enough to warrant doing it very often.

I honestly do not think that any striker we sign would be an automatic starter every week... and that dictates the type/level of player NW will go for.
Someone like Charlie Austin or Martyn Waghorn would be far more likely to accept that situation, than someone like Chopra.

Why do people keep talking about 3million, it clearly says Warnock is trying to get him on-loan, and 3million is just the price Leicester paid for him.

I'd be over the moon with Waghorn, would fit into our team really well.
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

We would only be getting him on loan, not for £3million. I've always seen him as a 'in the hole' player? I remember he ripped us apart up there last year and scored a belter which went bar and in. Good player but not what we need.

Agreed Goddard. Mackie and Smith offer so much more than just goals. Their workrate and defensive abilities allow Taraabt space and provide cover for others roaming forward something you wouldn't get with Routledge, Waghorn, Cox or anyone else playing those positions.

Waghorn would fight for a starting position and as a striker would offer an alternative neither H or H could give us. Could be the perfect loan for the rest of the season if played up top - he knows he's out of favour and will see uszas a new start.

Waghorn would be brought on as a plan B option. We don't have that pacey player that can run at the defenders at the moment. As for Smith/Mackie-role we have Vaagan Moen&Hogan to fill that spot.

I really hope we can get either Austin or Waghorn+a central defender to fill the void made by Fitz Hall

Fitz Hall, he almost makes Matthew Rose look like he was well fit when playing 240games over a span of 10years.

Whatever happened to Jordi Lopez? It was like a Greek funeral on here when he left but never seems to play for Swansea.
