Hmm. Squad still seems light compared to some others'. Not strengthening seems unwise when we're in with such a good chance of going up as champions.

He will not necessarily do what he has stated.

We have to many dead wood players, sell 2 or 3 and bring in 1.

If we go up we'll have one transfer window to build a new team to keep us up.

Well if we dont go up, wont be warnock's fault.
Look elsewhere for possible blame........astounding decistion if we fail to to add more quility to squad.
          They seek him here.................

Been saying the same for ages, despite our good position we are very short up front and even one decent striker would ,I believe get us promoted.way too risky to not add this january

Is this all about adding players for the second half of the season, or is it about spending money on transfers to make some point about how "rich" we are??

Seems to me, some people just can't get their heads around the fact that NW has never once said that we wont add a bit of quality to the team in january.... he has just said that we probably wont spend big on buying players, and we may just use the loans system in january to add a bit of quality to the already good squad we have.

Do people honestly think that signing someone for - say, £3m on a 3 year deal in january, and paying them 20k pw is a good move for a second division club who have no idea what division they'll be in next season?
What would the others in the squad think, when they are the ones who have put us 7 points clear at the top of the league?

When you can loan in someone with quality, and then decide if you keep them once may arrives, and we know where we are... why spend on big fees in january? Just like Kyle Walker.
Loan Kyle Walker, or buy Kris Boyd?

Also... Players might rather come in on loan, and then sign if we go up... it's not a one-way street. Players and agents call the shots, not us.

I keep using the example of DJ Campbell last season at Blackpool... he was on loan. Didn't stop him.
If Blackpool had lost to Cardiff at wembley, do you honestly think "good old DJ" would have signed permanently for second division Blackpool in the summer?!

It seems like one big game of Championship Manager on a PC for some people.
The position we are in, january loans are more sensible, and just as effective.

                  The summer?? That's totally different.

Just be cause you bring in a quality loan/buy dont mean whoever it is will just walk into the team, they will have to wait there time injuries loss of form to get in this side, so no i dont expect it will harm moral, the more quality competition for places the better.
