After watching Coventry yesterday, they was very poor. Cardiff hammered them without Burke and Bothroy (prob our 2 most influential players)
All they have is a big attacking onslaught. Platt,King,Eastwood and Lucas Jutkiewitz. They just try and lump balls up to them.
Taraabt will have a field day against Carsley.
Their best player by a country mile is Westwood their goalkeeper and I can see him in the Prem in January
thanks gareth - we are all a bit more cheerful after yesterday. how's the mood in your camp after your poor run ended with what sounded like a fairly comfortable win against coventry?
Things are starting to look up down here now. Lots of players have had a bad bug that went around. Burke,Koumas both out yesterday cos of it.
I think we have finally got a backup plan for when Bothroyd is out, Nobody still knows how long he is out for. Plenty of rumours doing the rounds that hes off to Chelsea in January and we are getting a player in return. Still only silly rumours at the moment tho.
Nice to see you hammer the Jack **** yesterday. I hear they only took 68 fans up there. Small town club next door to us.
Do you think that you will be able to hold onto Taarabt in the transfer window ? we got our fingers crossed with Chopra(whose looking back to his best) and Bothroyd. Both expected to recieve offers. Dave Jones wants 5 players and our Malaysian investors look like they are giving him the full backing
Think Boothroyd is good so certainly not knocking him and sure there willl be considerable Prem interest but not sure he is quite Chelsea level (much as it pains me to say that about Chelsea). Leroy Rosenior was on TV last night doubting Cardiff will be able to bring in five players of sufficient quality in Jan. Who knows? All I would say was our experience last season is you can't do it on loans, you have to have your own team.
As for us think we will also have premiership clubs sniffing round a few of our players. Warnock clearly engaging in his usual mind-games by saying after yesterday's performance by Taraabt "who would want him?" (answer, quite a few clubs I expect). Think we are just short of one clinical striker and a fit Akos Buzsaky.
People are now talking up Leeds but I still see you lot as our biggest threat.
As for Swansea they had a few more than 68, though not many for a 1st v 4th clash. Best chant was "Four nil on your big day out, four nil..." They didn't look happy bunnies; they even clapped Adel's second goal, recognising he is different mustard.
