but with results like yesterday will it stop NW strengthening the squad?

It was a great performance just like the first games of the season, but will the downside be that we wont strengthen? Its hard to change a winning formula, but most Rangers fans agree we need more firepower and a better defence. What does NW do?
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

tbo our performance was horrible in the first half. Swansea were the better side till we got the penalty as Taarabt made the difference. Afterwards, Swansea surrendered and we took advantage. If Swansea had scored from that Sinclair shot (What a save by Kenny), it could have been a different story. My point is that yes we need to strengthen the squad and bring players that are capable to turn matches in our favour when we are losing.

No it won't NW is a good manager and knows far better than anyone on this board how to manage the team to promotion.

NW will be very aware that we need plan B players for games like Watford and Leeds where we dont have game changing players to bring on,starting with an out and out striker which we dont have at the moment, and another defender.

Arguably a settled side is worth far more than your so called strengthening. If you look at the league table, after playing nearly everyone, you will see that we actually don't need more firepower or a better defence. Of course it's always nice to have better players, but do we want to fill our squad with the sort of players who would come in January on long term contracts when what we will need in the Premier League is more class. Warnock has said that apart from the Norwegian there may be one or two loans. Which isn't necessarily what he is thinking but sounds right.

Not sure I agree the defence needs strengthening particularly. Gorks and Connolly looked at their best yesterday and snuffed out the threat of a team who were second a couple of weeks ago. More competition at left back would be good but unlikely to make or break our season. We already have Hall (admittedly injury prone) and Orr who can't get into the side yet would walk into virtually any other Championship side.

Someone like Watson would be a nice bonus in midfield if Derry starts to tire as the season progresses but with Van Mooens arriving and Buz surely back soon (?) its hardly essential.

The only real weakness is a more clinical striker - so if our only signing were, say, Simon Cox I would be quite happy.

Think Loft has a point that we can't endlessly as a club buy players for a short term fix (Agyman,Vine, Pellicori, Clarke etc) who aren't good enough for the next stage on our journey but due to high wages etc become virtually unsellable.

Looking at NW's interview on the BBC site, we won't be buying in January. That said, he may just be playing his cards close to his chest.

I think as Warnock said in the interview if the right player (ie someone who will actually improve us) comes along then he will buy! No point buying for the sake of it and unbalancing the squad!

I think we should buy loads of players in January.

Starting with Chopra, Bothroyd and Bellamy from Cardiff.
                  Becchio & Snodgrass from Leeds.
Commons from Derby. Holt from Norwich.
                  Sinclair and Pratley from Swansea.
And whoevers in form at Forest, Burnley, Coventry.....

                  And Promotion will be ours.

I'm sure Neil's already got targets if he wants to buy.
