What a performance

Second half, one of the best I've seen us play in ages. Ran them off the park. Tabs obviously stood out but special mention also for Gorks who was absolutely superb at the back reading the play and out-muscling their strikers, Mackie (who I've been very criticial of lately) was really excellent, full of running, tracking back and a great finish that will hopefully restore his confidence, and also Helguson who unbelieveably people were sill moaning about around me - thought he was excellent in holding the ball up: whereas Hulse just flicks balls on to no one in particular (being a lone striker there is never anyone running through) Helguson always brings team-mates into play. I'd be interested if Sir Pie ever did some stats on our games won and goals scored when Helguson plays because I'd bet my house on it being considerably more than when he is out.

This performance does a lot to dispel the gloom and the fears about our performances dipping off. Thought second half we were really not far off our best, albeit against a Swansea team who for all their nice touches just had no fight at all. Made me appreciate yet again what a good manager Warnock is as think he has a really good balance of players (thugs and magicians) that other teams lack - they are mainly either physical sides or ball playing sides whereas we have a fantastic mix.

Really well done to the entire team. Even Faurlin looked a bit better than of late, Orr was extremely solid and lovely to see Rowlands on at the end.

Ps: know its boxing day and lots of people are off line but surprised how subdued the board seems this evening.

2nd half performance was as good as iv seen from us this season,Tarrabt was Superb and Kenny made good saves in the 1st half,a v good result ,but was badly need after 2 v poor results

Amen. Well said. Helguson gives our game another dimension, he has more aces up his sleeve than Hulse, and makes the players around him better.
