dominic iorfa was atrocious and had to be explained the offside rule when he signed for us.he scored few goals but leroy roseinor was quite pony n all as was david bailey save for the hat trick against man utd.

in recent times Ramage has confussed me as to why he literally cannot kick a football and keep it on the pitch. I know I will get replies insisting we didn't leak tonnes of goals, but from a purely fotbballing technique side - he is awful.

You wanna go on footballing technique then why hasnt Damion Stewart been mentioned? when ever he kicked a ball his standing foot always left the ground and conected with another player.

But for me has to be bob malcolm or damion stewart << will get shot down for that one !

GK Derek Richardson Defenders Phil Nutt, Ron Abbott, Midfielders: None really stand out Attacker/forwards: the late trier (but a weak link) Mick Leach + anyone from about 100 or so since 1970. Only had about 20 decent strikers since then.

As for the best? Still no-one gets anywhere near Bowles for me. Not only scored goals but made countless-rarely had a bad game. Then Marsh, then Sir Les. Best winger: Dave Thomas. Best Midfielder: Gerry Francis before his injury problems. Best Central defenders: McLintock and Alan McDonald. We have never in my opinion been particularly strong in this area (like a lot of clubs). Best FB: Dave Clement Best Gk: Phil Parkes followed by David Seaman (a long way behind). Best Manager: Venables, then Jago, then Ollie, Stock and Warnock next about equal I reckon.

Biggest disappointment: Kerslake, and Gallen once he got crocked. A tragedy for us. Our recent history could have been very different if that hadn't happened.

bushkangaroo.....little harsh on parker, fenwick, wicks and peacock who are all more than decent cb,s. trevor francis was up there with any forward we had,,agree with gerry francis but if wilkins hadnt played for ch....a he;d be the best midfielder in a hoops shirt. gallen was never going to be the player he was hyped up to be injury or no injury.clive allen is still the best forward to have come through the ranks
