    Dazzer totally disagree.

The next 4 games definitely dictate what we do in the transfer market

I've said before & will say it again Pete why would NW let 4 games dictate our most important transfer window in 15 years? Oh we lost I better buy or oh we won I better not?!

Doesn't seem right to me, I'm sure he has along with GP identified targets that we clearly need to see out this season regardless of results in the next 4 games.

Because (IMO) I don't think our transfer policy is 100% up to Warnock. Lose the 4 games and the board will free up the funds. Win the 4 games and the board might see no reason to strengthen.

I think he'll have targets and conversations will be taking place but whether the money men are prepared to spend when the team could have an 8 or even 10 point lead is something we will have to wait and see.

Warnock himself will know that Leeds and Watford were bad results but were they exceptions to the norm or if the bad run continues investments will be needed but if they were just a blip then he himself might not want to "rock the boat".

No. Loan window is open till the middle of March or roughly 8-10 games before the season ends.

I firmly believe Warnock gives the players credit they deserve for getting us Top. After 25 games if we are still top say by 4 points, he really won't bring many in, maybe 1 and thats it (apart from the Norwegian guy) who is already here.

25 games is a very good bench-mark. We've only heard of Mutu and Chorpa in the papers really but agents are suddenly interested in us and players want to come to this football club, but Warnock feels if the players keep giving him the results than he is hardly going to make changes.

Also, budget wise we have a big squad and in the next 4 games, players on the fringes will be given there chance (based on the workload of matches) and he will mkake judgements on if they are good enough.

At the moment our best 11 you could write on a bit of paper and we would probably agree, so i GUESS he feels why change it, if of course we continue to win football matches.

Sorry sirpie I don't go with that one. I see you're point but I'm leaning towards EYR's post. Why risk having to go til March when we could be well down the pecking order when we could strengthen now when we clearly need too (look at our bench of late). As I said previously this is our most important transfer window in 15 years why take unnecessary risks? Get in the required personnel & we will be on course for where we want to be.

EDIT; cheers Pete good post & I can see you're point. I just feel its a little risky especially when you see the likes of Hull bringing in very good players.

forest have splashed out on someone who they hope can blast them into the automatic spots, cos they like us, have a non scoring striker. (one of our old non scoring strikers)
looks like everyones having a right go and splashing the cash on an all out attack on reaching the prem except us. (if people on here are to believed)

Nottingham Forest have signed United States international striker Robbie Findley. The 25-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground.

The same as Cook, & Rowlands. Great in their day, but have not performed at their best for several years now and should leave [with our thanks & well wishes] with their reputations intact.

They are unlikely to recapture the magic

The loan window closes after we've played our 37th match - 38th if the Hull game is rescheduled before then meaning at worst we'd have 8 games in which we couldn't bring in replacements. Orr got injured after the transfer window closed and we brought Walker in so IF the owners decide not to back Warnock and come February we lose a key player to injury we will still have the loan window to bring players in.

Well we agree to disagree then. Warnock is no mug and he wont let 4 game decide on who we are bringing in. He knows where we are weak and prone. We've played 20 games and you are trying to tell the Warnock needs to see another 4 to decide on what we need - yeah right... Still reckon Rowlands will be back soon Pete?

As NW mentions, next 4 games WILL influence our transfer window.
Not necessarily, the results or points tally but injuries also.

We should sign players as if we were 8th in the league, thats the way to seal promotion.

We need to capitalize on our position.
