wow the "old" School End - watched many a game from there perched behind the goal, was the favoured haunt for my grandad (his 5 brothers) my many uncles n cousins may seem like an over estimation but i reckon on a saturday there would be as many as 50 family plus mates all from Ladbroke Grove and all bunched around the centre exit on the terracing (due to its proximity to the Blue n White club) this photo brings back so many memories....who remebers the punch up outside SR in 1966 when Oldham beat us 1 nil was my first glimpse of football violence....sadly the guy who got on the coach and went right through swinging right n left handers passed away 4 years ago from a massive stroke....Alfie Naylor a true North Ken Ranger....wish you all a Merry Christmas and god bless you n yours

I was 10 living in Batman Close, remember that was the first time I saw a mob from a visiting side, in the photo recognise Brian Bedford bottom left and I think the late Peter Angell bottom middle

could be right about a young Hazell, vaulting a young Frank Sibley? and that looks like Mark Lazarus centre on the terraces about to fizz one over
