And what about the other 3????

I have followed my club too long now to expect the unexpected. If there's one team that could f**k this up, that is Queen's Park Rangers. I have had so many years of underachievement and failure. We're QPR, it's what we do.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Birmingham went up in second place, so that's 8 out of 10.

'Having won 15 of their first 24 matches, Stan Ternent's team (Burnley)won only six of their last 22 and did not even make the play-offs'

Whilst not wanting to sound too gloomy, the above seems more like Rangers than any other team. We've used our share of luck for the season getting to where we are now. I hope I'm wrong, but decades of supporting the R's have taught me that we build up our hopes only to have them dashed.

Not sure our hopes have ever been dashed.

Okay, we were not in Europe when finishing highest London club, due to the ban, but in recent years, we've made the play off final and got promoted when in this position. Maybe its all in the mind, that our hopes have been dashed?

Did you not have any hope of us beating Cardiff in that match then?

As mentioned above, listening to Wolves roling over, wresting our dreams of a title, that in all honesty we should have wrapped up at Carrow road.

How about the Milk cup final?

Every time we've played in front of sky cameras.

Beating Millwall on penalties only to draw the Mancs the next round.

Getting beat at home by the bottom club after every time we beat a decent club away.

I'm not saying we haven't had our highs as well, doing the double over Leeds the year they won the old first division, the Mancs 4-1, winning at Anfield, but I bet we got beat the next game after all of those.

My cynicism is my badge of honour for following the R's
