Merson saying Taraabt is the reason why we are top, and we need to buy in january to back him up. Thought he summed us up quite well, I was expecting him to talk the most amount of rubbish, but came across quite well.

Do me a favour!!.... Everyone can see that we could do with strengthening in january to make the push for promotion.
Nobody would deny that. So nothing to do with having "a with of sence".

The issue I have, (and I suspect the majority of QPR fans have?) is that this QPR team who have seen us to the top of the league at Christmas are getting slagged off by some fans who don't even go to games, who haven't see the good things they have done with their own eyes, along with a fat-tongued pundit on Sky.

I can forgive Paul Merson because he's not a QPR fan... unlike you, he doesn't pretend to be... and he's saying it as he saw it today.

But for certain QPR "supporters" to just endlessly sit on the internet, slagging our team off, when that team have seen us to the top of the league... and then after one poor week, act like they've been correct to stick the knife into that same group of players that have done us proud all season...... it makes me sick to read. Proper f**ks me off.

                  You're not a QPR supporter. You're a wanabee internet "character"... a serial web-critic.
Pointless, deluded, irrelevant, repetative, and all that's wrong with many football fans today. Tick as shoite.

Despite this past week being a bit sh*t, I'm still very proud of this QPR team.
Reason for that??.... For stopping my club from being the laughing stock it's been over the past few years. Not an embarrassment anymore.
                  Not to me.

I can dish stick out to QPR FC with the best of them. No problem with that, if it's deserved.
But this QPR team (and Neil Warnock) simply do not deserve it.

And you do not deserve them.

                  Point made.
You are not a QPR supporter.

No more responses to your constant, boring, endless bullsh*t from a laptop in Ireland.

                    Good rant, Goddard.
I'd say 100% of fans want strikers and centre-backs and fullbacks and another defensive midfielder in January, it is hardly a secret, the question is who can we get, not IF we're going to get players in. You can always tell who is thick and who isn't.

This is why I like you, Goddard. Superb post.

Unfortunately, the likes of Matchew are intent on hoping this team fails, just so as they can gain recognition of being 'right' all along.

A thread dedicated to Mackie yesterday annoyed me the most. The lad came here with most doubting him. He proved them wrong and as the season has worn on, he's tiring fast due to his almighty workrate, and it's clearly effecting his ability to track back for 90 mins. All of a sudden, he's now useless and not good enough.

It really makes me angry to see a team who was written off by most at the start of the season, doing us proud by still being too for Xmas, and getting slagged by so many. Yes, there are a few players in the squad who we could do with replacing, but with the way some go on, anyone would think we've only won twice and are sitting bottom.

                          Ridiculous.
                          Your mum would love me...

Brilliant post Goddard. I've no problem with overseas fans making a contribution to this forum but I find it difficult to understand how they can give an opinion on the football side of things when they aren't there. The problem is the two games we've had on telly have been two of our worst performances and because the football league show only gives brief highlights it's difficult for some to get their heads around how well we have been playing. Being disappointed by a result is one thing but to spend day after day and week after week moaning about the team is boring. Not just for Goddard or for myself to read but for everyone.

ALthough we do need to strenghen to cement our push, it does sometimes annoy me when "critics" suggest Taraabt is the only reason we're doing well. It's insulting to the rest of the squad that has scored for fun (until recently) and leaked by far the least goals (Oh, yeah Taraabt's renowned for his defending).

Anyway, what really frustrates is that they are blinkered and fail to consider the times when his greed costs us games as he is totally ineffectual and yet never passes to others in better positions and alienates the rest of the team in the process. Bristol City away being point in case. If he changed this aspect of his game he would become a formidable player!
