I think he is one of our best players. Can anyone remember when Orr got sent off and Mackie was temp right back. The lad was still getting forward and had a one on one with the keeper. Not the greatest of finishers but he will always give 110% even when hes making great runs and Adel decides to shoot from 30 yards.

Keep it up Mackie i will applaud your runs and effort everygame.

    U R's!
Queens Park Rangers, simply the best.

I certainly wouldn't agree with that. He's a great lad, and a real worker, but never our best player.

I just wish people would get off his back and support him.

            Defin itely agree with vblockranger,

Definitely work rate is one of the best in the team and clearly not the best player.

I really hope he goes through another spell of scoring, as he has not played at this level before. He has come from non-league and a struggling Plymouth side, so time will tell if he has the class to raise his game over a longer period of time.

hes consistent, unselfish, hard working, will play in goal if asked and has scored a load already = best player this season to me.
we all know taraabt is the most skillful, but i would pick mackie first on this season and his perfomances

I think your find what Pete was trying to say Benny, was that he was playing for a team like Leatherhead not that long ago and hasn't proven it at this level. I will judge him at the end of the season the praise you gave him, was far OTT and to early IMHO.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Pete was wrong. Over the past three seasons he had played 99 Championship matches for Plymouth. IMO i'd say that is plenty of experience especially when you consider how many matches say Andy King has made for Leicester and how well he is performing.

Mackie is a good hardworking player. Does he need a goal? Definitely. Is there someone out there available and better than him? I'd argue Kris Commons definitely is.

                              Tut, tut, tut.

People who use this message board purport to know about football then go and shove their right toe as close to their tonsils as possible.

Many called for Alan Shearer to never play for England again after he went 12games in a row without scoring for England pre Euro 96. Now back then England were a force to be reckoned with and in with a shout of winning it. El Tel stuck with him, the majority of fans stuck with him and the team continued to play to his strengths.
Mr. Shearer then went on a scoring run which I will never forget and neither will William Hill as my account swelled by considerable coffers.

There's a lesson in there for you.

Jamie Mackie --- top 3 in the Player of The Year running stats for me and a huge reason we are we are at the moment.

                              KEEP THE FAITH
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

mackies scored 8 already and he isnt even a striker.
jay simpson scored his first 2 of the season saturday after playing every game for hull after being their martquee signing.
wonder what the hull fans think of our reject?
bet they dont #### him as much as some r's cant off jamie.
