  • Who remembers the 6-1 defeat at Leeds.....

I hope i'm wrong, but for some reason I have a bad feeling about tomorrow.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

I was there. I blame me for the loss as I phoned my Leeds mate after Ains scored. The amount of times I had to button him at half time was unreal. Brian Dean getting 4...have a word.

It was f**king cold as well.

        It's because it's Leeds.

People are intimidated by them, because of the big mouthy crowd, and stuff they did in the past.

If our players show some balls, and put that out of their minds... then we have nothing to be scared of with Leeds. They are an average team, on a decent run.

Doncaster Rovers are better than them... but just not as "scary".

Nah, we drew 0-0 on a Tuesday night the season after, when they got relegated. I was there for that as well. Lee Camp kissing the badge. Some fans fell in love with him after that.

Yep, I was there that night.
Great support, considering we'd just been tonked 5-0 a few days before that game, live on Sky at Southend(!)

Must admit, you do feel like an away fan at Bellend Road. More than most grounds.

Indeed mate. There was about 700 of us, but we were pretty loud. The cheaper seats chant was a laugh.

We were at the Southend game too. Nearly kicked off in Edwards in the town before the game, and the with the Wet Spam yoof by the train station after. A few of us left at 3-0. Went to grab some food and had a chat with another Rangers fan who just walked in. I said 3-0 was am embarrassment...you can guess how the rest of the conversation went. Campbell-Ryce tore us to pieces.

That was my favourite season on the road in all honesty. Had some great away trips that year, albeit the results weren't the best.

When Ains scored I thought here we go!!

Then Brian Deane another who turns into Ronaldinho when he played against us , scores 4!!!
