You're probably right, Faurlin did cost £3 Million and is Argentinian so he must be far better than Rowly.

    IMO Faurlin is average.

I don't care if he cost 22p, and is half red squirrel - half Mongolian.
I think he's far better than "Rowly".

      You don't, fair enough.
But it's based on what I see... not his price, or nationality.

My judgement is also based on what I see - so far not impressed.

I think the point being made is that other teams find Faurlin the weak link.

Even with that I struggle, with how he can come to that judgement.

If there is a weak link to our midfield it is that a) Derry can tire towards the end of games b) Mackie isn't nearly as good as some people think he is and c) Tabs doesn't tackle much. Faurlin at his best looks comfortably Premiership class imho.

                ??????

Can't see the connection with having an opinion about 2 midfielders in the CURRENT squad.

I don't agree with that analysis of Faurlin at all. I'd admit he don't seem 100% since being injured but he's done more than enough previously to be given a bit of leeway now to get back up to full strength/effectiveness. Anyway, even if he's currently at say 80% that's a good enough player for me.

Faurlin hasn't become a bad player overnight. If teams have sussed us out, well, they've had 20 games to do so, so no real surprise. Our next 26 games are always going to be different from the the first lot as everyone has seen us play. They will identify weaknesses naturally but I wouldn't think Faurlin is a prime candidate. Still think teams are more obsessed with Tarbs at the moment.

That statement is a massive insult to Martin Rowlands. Some fans have very short memorys which I think is a real shame.

Martin was playing in a decent republic or ireland team and if he can find that old form then he is a real asset to the team. I do trust Neil to make the call but if Martin isn't up for it then we need to sign that type of player.

I'll add faurlins form is a worry. Played a decent 45mins against cardiff but his form is very patchy and dire at times.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It is only a form thing.

Faurlin is one of only a few players we have that are quality. He would be at home in the Prem.

All good players have form dips. Except the consistent ones.. ;)
