  • My concern

Walker-very quick, Gorkks-very slow, Hill- very slow, Connolly- very slow

Faurlin- slow, Derry- slow, taraabt- slow, mackie-quick, smith- average

    Hulse- slow

I go throughout the side and I think against teams that will look to play like Watford did we really must add some pace in Jan.

I would be tempted to drop mackie for Buzz when he is fit and I realise that will effect the side but I am not to worried in attacking sense. I do however feel the defence need some pace. Stewart used to be useful before he discovered take aways and that ment he became the '####' of the squad.

1 centre back needs to complement the other and Gorrks and connors is a concern. I think we will get away with it most of this season but against premiership sides it will be embarassing.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

in january id look to buy a cb(with pace and presence) to replace connolly. a cm to compete with faurlin(watson?) and a striker like victor moses(strong, powerful and pacey)

You're overreacting , nearly 1/2 the season gone before a defeat, top with a better GD than 2nd and 3rd put together, we ain't been doing too bad mate!

            Just a slight over reaction!!!!!!!

So if we had Terry and Ferdinand for CBs would people still be saying too slow, injury prone and unreliable? Do you know I think they would!!!!!!

Who do they want? Vermalen, King, Alex, Puyol or perhaps Lescott for £25m!!!
get real people our two are up there with some of the best. Maybye not world class but who realistically afre we going to get???

Are WBA, Blackpool, Stokes, Blackburn, Fulhams CB any better?

Do have concern's with both our cb's turn of speed, they are both very good at facing high balls coming in, but when the ball is put behind them, their lay's the problem, even if one of the two had basic speed, he could cover,
But two who turn like a milkfloat is dodgy.

They have coped pretty well so far this season, but dont think as yet too many teams have sussed them out yet.

That may change now they have been exposed on the tele.
              They seek him here.................

99% of centre backs are slow... it's why they're centre backs and not wingers or strikers. I don't reckon ours are ponderous nor are they wing-heeled. They do have best defensive record in division though so I'd happily stick with them unless somenoe manifestly better became available.

11 clean sheets, just 12 goals conceded and 1 loss. If we lose two or three in a row then hit the panic button. Also whilst we are in the Championship lets not worry about the quality of this team in the Premiership. Lets get there first and then worry.

Not that I want to get ahead of myself...

But, I have always thought that NW needed two teams.. 1 to get us promoted and another to keep us up...

Should we get promoted then I doubt very much that many of the current first team will be regular starters.. Kenny, Taraabt, Faurlin spring to mind but not many others would cut the mustard...

He brought in 10ish new players during the summer to make an assault on the league so one assumes it would take a similar amount of transactions to keep us up should we get there....
