  • Last night

Still gutted by the result but we move on. Hopefully a small blip in a very good season. I thought the whole team were woeful but in some senses im glad we have lost so we 'have got the monkey off our back'

    Ratings for players...

Kenny 6-kept us in the game at times with some great saves
Walker 5-Needs to attack the space more, could skin anyone on the pitch
Gorkks 3- Poor game from him last night, run ragged by the watford forwards-had a great season so we move on
    Connally 3-same as above
Hill 3- Got skinned to many times, poor game
Mackie 4- Lot of effort-no quality, at least he tried hard
Derry 3- Dire. Lost all off the 50-50's and didn't look up for the fight
    Faurlin 3- as above
Smith 4- Thought we would see a good performance against his old club but couldnt get into the game
Taarabt 4- Tv cameras were there....
Hegussson 3- Link up play was shocking, lost all of the ariel balls as well.

Knew it was gonna go bad last night when watford swapped ends, hopefully that wont happen again! What was up with all this long ball stuff as well, their defence sweeped it up with ease.

    Bring on the Leeds!

Luckily, the BBC didn't mention it so they won't have noticed, i think it's something only our fans noticed, just hope none of the opposing managers come on here or Mackay doesn't go blasting his mouth off to other managers.

Luckily, they didn't mention it on the Beeb last night, so hopefully our fans are the only ones that noticed it.
That's as long as Mackay doen't go shooting his mouth off or opposing managers don't visit this site.

I to would like to know what all this hoof-ball is about. We did it against Burnley, which didn't work, and it didn't work last night either. Warnock said it was a mistake, and that they had learnt from it after the Burnley game. Well Neil ?

Who knows, Heidar was loosing everything in the air. Our strengths lay on the ground and we definitely played into their hands last night.

Yeah, not too sure losing the toss was the reason for our downfall? If it was then we must be really bad if we can't deal with that. Hoof ball? Yep.fair point.

agree with those ratings.. felt faurlin's lack of well anything left derry on his own somewhat.. felt hill was committed as usual and as you say mackie was running alot but that was it.

id single out hill derry for not giving in. and kenny for stopping us being mauled

My only criticism of Kenny was for continually hoofing the ball upfield - and not always accurately and conceding possession cheaply. Would rather he had bowled it out and we broke from the back. Having said that, the way our defence was playing, I wouldn't have trusted them to keep possession either.

Methinks warnock told him to do that...he kept trying to aim for Mackie and seemed a pretty deliberate tactic to me.

                        All of this.

Derry and Mackie were OK. Paddy saved blushes but his distribution wasn't helping us keep the ball.

See I thought Derry was very poor. Watford won everything in the middle of the park. Maybe Faurlin wasn't pulling his weight but Derry didn't win many 50-50's either.
