  • Lets face it...

...we've ridden our luck several times this season and last night the team failed to turn up and lost to a team who've already lost 7 games this season. We were found wanting in all departments. We've flattered to deceive in a number of recent games, surviving on numerous goal-line clearances and dubious penalty decisions. At the start of the season we had convincing 3-0 wins at places like Sheff.Utd and Ipswich and were playing extremely well with bags of confidence, now's the time to perhaps go back to the drawing board to a certain extent.
Mackie almost single-handedly put us in ascendancy earlier in the season, but now, like others around him,he can't hit a barn door with a banjo. He's not a prolific goalscorer, never has been, but his purple patch shows what he's capable of with a bit more confidence.

Now's the time, with still a 4 point lead and a game in hand advantage over the third placed team,to consolidate and I hope now we've finally lost our unbeaten record,NW won't be too concerned about upsetting the applecart by introducing some fresh faces in January.

    spot on
A real important time coming up now that could determine the rest of our season. We have been so lucky in a lot of games this season so far but we all knew it wouldnt last. Time to spend some money to ensure promotion and take advantage of the this position that we find ourselves in

The 5 games coming up will tell us more, but it would be good to freshen things up. We have a decent first 11, but bench it definitely NOT strong enough.

Thing is if we turn this around and have good wins before the window opens the board may think we don't need to spend, maybe just close wins are what we need until January, you know it makes sense.
