  • Neil won't rock the boat

NW has said he won't be adding many to the squad in january because he doesn't want to unrest the existing squad,Moen has already signed and pete has said 3 premiership players are joining, which would be 4 new signings,Watson,Roberts and curtis(probably),all will make us stronger but Could they rock the boat, exactly what NW doesn't want

Who is Curtis? Are you referring to Curtis Davies on loan at Leicester?

Clubs should always look to improve the squad, players just have to deal with the competition. Complacency leads to neglect, neglect leads to decay.

I think our activity in the January transfer window will depend on the health of the team on January 1st. If we have the likes of Buzsaky still out and any other serious injuries that could occur in the meantime then Warnock will have to bring players in but if the squad is fully fit (with the exception of Ramage) then I can't see us bringing in some of the players being mentioned.

WBA didn't bring any players in last January whilst Newcastle signed Hall, Williamson, Routledge, Danny Simpson, Leon Best and Van Aanholt so there is an argument for doing it or not doing it.

why do we need watson? we have far too many central midfield players as it is.

Have we? If Derry and Faurlin were both unavailable, we'd be struggling. What we need is good back-up for those two; Watson wouldn't be prepared to sit on the bench and is better further forward, so he's not what we need.

As well as defensive midfielders, we need cover for our centre-halves.

I keep reading that we need cover for our centre halves but Fitz Hall can't get in the team and he was first choice centre back for Newcastle towards the end of last season and they won the Championship. I know he has his detractors, but its not so long ago that our defence was being shored up by Zesh Rehmon and Malcolm after a big night out.

Then we recal Leigertwood and Mahon or Rowlands.

Do you honestly think that they're good enough if we want to continue our promotion push? Same for Hall.

We have a few games before the window opens. Warnocks the one not rocking the boat but I'm sure come January they'll be a few in and out the door! He knows where we're lacking and the Jon Walters bid shows he is being backed and no doubt has cash ready to spend.

can't see how he could rock the boat, if the team keep performing as they are they know he doesn't change a team unless he has to through injury or suspension. So new players are not assured of a start.
