  • Many Thanks To Cookie...Quick Review On What Was Said

Doubt now this programme can be put up, as Brian lost his father today and we all here at wearetherangersboys.com, wish him and his family well at this difficult time.

Cook did not answer the question about the money given to the club, as he felt it a private matter, but just so happy the club was on a sound financial footing now and really believed the club had good backers.

In regards to training ground being shut back in the day (off air), he said he was off that day, but felt not worth mentioning now as it was so long ago and all in the past and a bit of an irrevelance.

Stated Briatore never picked the team , but as the owner had every right to get involved as he pays the players wages and often came down to the dressing room after games

Said Holloway was always the best manager he played under whilst at QPR

Said the old training ground was really poor and having taken Harlington just 6months after Chelsea gave it up, gave the players a feel of professionalism and the particular training ground they are at, has excellent facilities

He felt the Derby game gave the players belief.

Feels he will get his chance, but with team doing so well might have to wait. His comeback has been delayed due to the bad weather and no reserve games. If he has to be loaned out than fair enough, but knows what he can do at this level. We never know in football, as look at bradley Orr he looked like he would be the first choice right back and injury mean't we brought in Kyle Walker. Players do get injuries and suspensions, so its all matter of wait and see.

he has strengthened the muscle in his thigh and that has taken quite a long time. Though he has put on an extra muscles and does an extra 30 minute weights every day.

Felt he came back to early last season, but with team struggling he was on call to play a part to keep us up.

Said last season was not great with supporters and players, but it had improved so much this season. Players knew last season that Paul hart's days were numbered when we won 2-1 and the players got booed. He said he never heard us being booed after winning.

His idols growing up were ferdinand and Sinclair. Said his dad was and is a season ticket holder and remembers his time going to watch QPR when a youngster being a little blonde kid. Started his career at Southampton and then moved to Wycombe.

Said when at Watford, told his agent he would only go to one club at that was QPR.

Buzz is about 3 weeks away from training and probably back in the NEW YEAR. All held back because of the bad weather and cannot get proper matches under there belts. Behind closed game cancelled last week due to bad weather.

Fitz Hall is probably the hardest player at the club, but he never told us who the wimp was!! Said that Gorkss probably had the worse dress sense and that in his spare time, the lads liked GOLF. They are all pretty similar standard, though ramage who plays off 10 thinks he is the best.

Suggested the younger players is good for them to go out on loan, as he learn't alot from being bullied by more seasoned pros when going out on loan.

Predicted 3-1 versus Watford and he along with a few other players have taken coaching badges.
Looking forward to his cousins fight this Saturday.

Referred to John Gregory bringing them in on a Sunday every week, liked Sousa, though he was strict. Things went against him, when we failed to win a few towards the end of the season. Play offs looked likely after we beat Derby and Blackpool away. Harford was a quite man, even though on the pitch he was very hard and in your face.

Talked about having to travel on Christmas Day to Plymouth and other places, but family know thats the life of a footballer. Said likely Warnock will give them day off, but he trusts the players to do the right thing. Think he said players party next week?

Thats about it, if I remember I will post. All in all it was good to chat to a level headed and down to earth footballer, who appreciated being at a club he supported since a child. To be honest Cookie comes across as a genuine person who only wants the best for this great football club

Well done for remembering all that!
Great bloke for what he did,
no room for sentiment on the playing side, a move might be best for all.

Will always be remembered for what he did for us, great player when fit.
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

He's always a pleasure to talk to. A great ambassador for the club. One of us and one who I hope gets himself back to the player we all know he can be. It would be nice if a local boy like him or Rowlands got into the side and we got promoted. One of us.

                    lovely geezer

lovely geezer but i would keep rowlands as my spare left winger and sell cookie
even if we only got 200 000 for him it would just make our squad a bit more balanced

Ted go back to sleep. There are no room for posts like this.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                        Cheers for that Pete.

One thing though...Fitz 'sicknote' Hall the hardest at the club? Shame he doesnt show how tough he is when he strains his groin week in week out.
