Yeah you don't hear much of our sherrif but I noticed he scored a goal. I guess he isn't as good as some made out.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm not happy that Warnock won't play a strong team in the FA Cup.

We've endured years of humiliation in the cups and a good cup run can propel us through the league fixtures with momentum and high confidence. All this baloney that we wont take the cup as seriously really winds me up. If our squad is half decent then surely we have a chance of rotating those squad players through our league campaign? Nowadays the players eat the right foods, have fitness coaches, have better physio facilities and training regimes and they play on superb pitches. Why does our run in the FA Cup have to be jeopardised before a ball is kicked?

Its a new phenomenon, that teams 'opt out' of tournaments. The great Liverpool side of the early/mid 80's won countless titles, got to Wembley finals and European Cup finals with the same pool of players. Can't remember them ever choosing which tournament to play a depleted team in...And in those days you were allowed to tackle and played on all sorts of pitch surfaces. Faciliities were nowhere near as good as they are now.

Warnock is inadvertently telling any travelling fans like me who are going to the game that we shouldn't expect to win at Blackburn. Disgraceful. What's the point of even playing the game?

Money talks loud and the passion and pride of supporters is left by the wayside yet again.

Im sure your passion will be super high when we lift the NPC championship trophy..
Or would you prefer to play in a cup we are not going to win, Adel, Derry, Smith, Hulse and see possibly one pick up a serious injury which may affect us going up??

I'm over the moon Warnock won't play a strong team.
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Great decision by Neil to play a weaken team in this match, winning the league (or failing that finishing second) is the ONLY thing that matters this season. I think its brilliant he is letting the fans know of his intentions well before the game so they can decide if they want to still want to make the trip.

Im just glad we got a tough(ish) draw, doing the same against a lower league team at home may not have been so palatable.

I'd be disappointed if he fielded a strong side for this one. Why risk your best players for a game that's insignificant? We're not going to win this cup, and for the 1st time in years, we have a great chance of getting back to the Prem.

I know which I'd rather concentrate on.

How do we know that we are not going to win the cup? As in: how could we have known before the start of the season that we would be 1st in the league table at the end of the year? Such things are all guesswork before it happens, but the fact remains that Warnock intends to throw the FA Cup like he did the Carling Cup and there is nothing we can do about it. I would have preferred us giving a go, but I am resigned to our surrender now. I just hope it pays off and we get promoted this season.

Disagree GTP. I don't want us to get stuffed as that won't be good for the fringe players, although it might help add to the activatey in the jan transfer market.

I would still like us to win but I'd rather we lose than a draw, we certainly could do without any replay.

we wont win, and even a hammering weill mean nothing to anyone.
getting beaten at home by lowly port vale didnt affect anyone.
its not like the old days anymore, winning your league is ALL that matters, and especially to a methodical man like warnock. the team will be unrecognisable imo.
wouldnt be suprised if any day now he started telling people to not bother risking going up there in case they catch hepatitus from the northern brown heads or something
