My understanding is, he gas a gambling habit and is looking for a big signing on fee.
I think the fee could be as little as 500k-1m but we would have his high wages and signing on fee.
And for that reason I'm out.

True...Will upset them if their main rivals rock up with a bid for thier top boy..

But can also work the other way, they turn it down then use it to their advantage, giving interviews etc also when he runs out against us at theirs giving it the large one.
I don't want him, overrated IMO, but can see us wanting him in to raise our profile in India if the owners have anything to do with the signing.

I would love to sign a fit Chopra for around £2m, thats about what he is worth imo.

Problem is to accomodate Chopra we would need to change a winning formation. He couldn't be the target man for obvious reasons and its having Helguson or Hulse that has served us well to date.
