India has the potential for marketing reasons, also I'm sure its a way of Mittals doing their community bit.

At the end of last season I aksed for a message to get to Bhatia to see if he can use his links to arrange a preseason friendly with India (like Fulham did a few, well many, years ago). Again, this would be to bring in extra faces who may adopt us as their second team at least.

India clearly doesn't have a decent crop of footballers, however its also about giving the opportunity to kids to play.

It would be great for the club if indians in this part of the world started supporting QPR.

But my point is, Mittal dont seem that interested in the club enough for this to happen.

Therefore is he doing enough to get Local indian people interested, as he is only a small shareholder and is not pushing out the boat.
      They seek him here.................

MASSIVE marketing potential in having links with India - over a billion people in a sports mad country with no obvious team to support...

If we could bring in an Indian player it would be HUGE for the club in terms of marketing & merchandising revenues..

They tried last year with Sunil Chhetri but couldn't get him a Work Permit...

If you said 1 in 100 Indians was a football fan, and 1 in 10 of those then supported our club that would be 1,000,000 Indian fans buying replica shirts etc....as I say HUGE..

Man Utd did something similar with Park Ji-Sung & Dong Fangzhou opening up the Korean & Chinese markets...

Junichi Inamoto had a successful Premiership career on the back of his marketing potential

Think the Indian link should be embraced. We could Singh our hearts out for the lads, change the corners of the upper loft to J Korma and Q korma etc etc

            Things change.

Indian people in UK have often said they felt excluded from football. Indian people in India are a totally different group. They love cricket there - if they loved football as much there would be a load of talent coming out of the place.

I think the closest person was a player that was at Ipswich town but I can't recall any indian players playing premiership football. I really hope our indian ownership doesn't waist time in areas that won't improve queens park rangers football club.

The majority of Indians have a tough time feeding themselves, football isn't really their biggest worry.

Your ignorance is truly, truly astounding,,, I'm guessing you've never been to India (or anywhere beyond the 'first world').

They are gonna invent 20/20 for football, either twenty a side or twenty minutes each way. In India football will be the new cricket.
Stadiums will be built on corners and pies will be ditched for curry's.

Seriously WeAreQPR and Jeffro you're missing the point. It's about attacking the mass markets. India is a booming market. With a ever growing population and with it being a developing market if we were to take just a 2% chunk of that it would pull in revenues to fund some of the idiotic names suggested on this message board that we should sign in January. We have rich owners but one's that won't p15s money down the drain. This is exactly what we as a club should be doing. Look at what Man Utd has done in China.

Give it up Dazzer, they evidently don't have too many of the grey cells. They're probably not racist (heck, they can't even spell the word) just enormously ignorant.

God I hate people like you. This is political correctness gone mad.

You might be indian and took offence to what I said but Myu is also indian and we had a sensible debate. Anyway you twist it however you want to and keep up the sensible posts.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

And if you cared to read this post correctly, Weare was taling about Indians here in ENGLAND where he plays football with them..
Seriously doubt they chose to pay a fiver and play at goals rather than feed themselves.
