  • Our 18,000 odd Ground Capacity

Which games would we not fill out?

i'd say 4, so we really need to get a 25,000 seater

Wigan, Blackburn, Blackpool and Bolton at home would be the 4.

Always starting from a higher fan base than Fulham who now fill 24,000, don't forget 10 years they could only get 5,000.

All clubs increase capcity when promoted

Jeffro every game will sell out bar 4-5.

We should stop comparing it to the nineties. Football has changed big-time.

GTP,. the teams you mention would definitely sell-out

To think QPR wouldn't sell out an 18k stadium for Prem games at home to Villa, Newcastle, etc.. is pretty wide of the mark.

Have to agree with Pete on this.

The comparisons to the early 90's don't stand up....It's changed so much, and we have a far bigger "sleeping support" than many seem to think.
            Certainly bigger than Fulhams.

Hopefully we'll find out, sooner than we thought... in august next year!

got nothing to do with them tho, its the rangers who dont bother when its an unglamourous team coming here. check this season for proof.

I beg to differ, depending on where we are in the league, will depend on the poor teams selling out!!.
We have the fickle-est fans i have ever seen!

We will sell out everygame because people will come thinking they can get something out of the NEW team in the league.

                    Bring em all on!!!
Queens Park Rangers, simply the best.

Sorry Pete, I have just looked at our fixture list and none of these teams are on it.

A bit premature dont you think

Jeffro I know you said the other week you fought well but I am getting a little worried about you mate? Of late your mind doesn't seem to be working as well as it was!

IF (lets not get too carried aways and have a much more solid conversation on this one come JANUARY now) we get promoted the will be no more than a handful (5 MAX) of games that wouldn't sell out; and I pretty much have to agree with all of Pete's selections as the likely games that wouldn't sell out. People will rack up just to get to see some Premiership football. The game has changed massively in our absence. Chelsea have probably swallowed 80% and Fulham probably have the other 20% of the kids in our local community who simply follow those clubs PURELY because they are in the Premiership. Whether all those that fill the ground are TRUE Rangers fans or just new ones looking to watch Premiership football.

We found 35,000 people who were prepared to pay for a league 1 play off final.

If those same people like the idea of Premiership football then a new stadium is a must

We would definately fill a 35k stadium and they could also be more competitive on a pricing structure to attract tourists.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It's easy to look at certain games and think not everyone will show up; especially if fixture is for a freezing Monday night live on telly. However, we can't base our capicity on the lowest possible gates... we have to look at highest possible gates. I reckon anything under 30K is too negative/short-sighted. If we had capacity of 30K and averaged 23K attendances that'd be fine by me. I'd like to have a 30K capaicitry but a design that would mean extending in the future would easily be accomodated if necessary.
