  • The Championship V The Premiership

    Pros and cons

Championship does offer a good competitive league, where anyone can beat anyone and being top gives you great satisafaction, as its so tight.

Premiership likely to cost more, though as Blackpool, WBA and Newcastle have proved first season up, teams can do well.

Premiership will also see many new QPR fans join the fold, as the bigger games will attract more fans. Club will benefit with more sponsorship offers, though many more games will be switched and Saturday matches won't be the norm

Don't care Pete give me premiership football all day long!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Benny there are a few on this board that agree with pete's sentiments. Its a friggid joke and give me QPR on match of the day and watching rangers infront of sell outs every week all day.

Bored is a bit lifeless recently, hence the following 2 threads:

          1) This one
          2) Myu's- what would we be singing if we were bottom of the league?

Hardly 2 creative geniuses we have here is there!!!

i prefer Championship and purely because thats what ive been used to with QPR..

there is/was a thing about in the prem you really do have 2/3 different leagues within one.

one is for relegation other for midtable and the third is top 4. which sort of spoils the league imo. with championship, take this year for example.. who saw middlesborough down where they are after how much they spent? or even who saw us top and clear come december? you dont have those sort of surprises in the prem. okay liverpool aside which is a rarity.

as for new fans.. i wouldnt be surprised should we go up the club bump up the prices again.. likely for individual matches like man utd, chelsea etc. im sorry but you shouldnt bump prices of tickets up dependant on who the team are playing.. clubs should make their grounds places for fans to support their team and not venues for the general public to see a spectacle.

also i reckon championship games have more about them. because u dont know who will win.. im sorry but im sure there is a large percentage this weekend thinking "maybe watford could beat us" you rarely get that in the prem. teams play to draw against the big teams...
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
            Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

It's a no-brainer. Prem football all the time. Even if we went straight back down, by then, the supporters would have returned, and we'd be far better of financially.

Should have a better set of players too...All with Prem experience to build again.

                        Put it this way

I would prefer top of the championbship, than bottom of the 3 in the premiership even if I am watching us play against Arsenal. If you could guarantee me mid-table in the premierhip I'd take it like a shot
