We average 13k-16K at present, we have a bigger dormant fanbase that Foolham, I think 35k is spot on!

Remember the location of this new staduim means we can use it for concerts, big fights and several other ventures, it could be a twelve month a year venue.

Plus the fact that we'd still be the closest club to central London potentially makes us an even bigger draw, which was partly the reason Flav and Bernie took an interest in us to begin with.

We don't need a new stadium & we certinally DO NOT want the millions of pounds of debt assosciated with such a crazy idea! QPR IS LOFTUS ROAD! Blackpool are doing quite well at the moment without raking up millions of debt and the pressure associated with that of having to stay in the Premiership just to finance the debt.

As much as I wish we could stay at Loftus Rd, the facility's are outdated and need bringing in to the 21st century. I assume you have quiet short legs, because if you had long legs you would know how bloody uncomfortable it is and every time you stand you get #######ed by the stewards or fellow fans.
Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.

Blackpool had the land around them to rebuild, we have not!

I take your point about the debt but with the sale of LR and the other ventures the site could participate in, IE athletics for instances, having removable seats to create a running track, I am sure companies like Westfield would be interested in sponsoring an event like that, bringing the likes of Bolt over to the heart of London for a meet, big money!

These are things of the top of my head, if luxury flats are also put on the site this would generate a great deal of additional income, and as mentioned before on another thread, the minimum requirement for European football is a 35k stadium and the club has to be self sustaining, these ventures + what ever else they have already thought of would put us in a great position.
          Kept the faith!

Not sure why people are so down on a new stadium ! So many links are being put in against new stadium and clubs going bust !!

Firstly, 35K Seats. Loftus Road on a game like Cardiff is not fit for purpose. If we are promoted we will be seeing clubs who will bring 4K min to watch away games.
Secondly... We will have lots of foreign tourists wanting to watch a premier league game when visiting London ! So we suddenly become a tourist attraction.
Thirdly.. why do we not expect our fan base to grow? 12 years ago People would of question Fulham needing a 10K seater stadium?

We also have rich owners, who have a plan. I believe they will not let the club go bust !! Why would they invest so much to see that happen?

Also... We might get considered for the 2030 World Cup.

                    Regards
                    Mark

Anyone with an ounce of sense can see the merits of a new bigger better stadium located in W12, LR has seen it's best days, The king is dead, long live the king.

Its the size of the stadium that worries me, 35k in the prem we could prob get away with and would fill for the big games. but if we got relegated crowds would drop off and we go back to getting 15k rattling around in a ground thats too big (see Coventry).

How many did we take to the Cardiff Play Off final?

As much as i would hate to leave Loftus Road I feel that its demise is nigh.

We need to develop and evolve and unfortunately that would not be possible at Loftus Road.

Not everybody likes change but in this case it is a neccessity .... (IMO)

My proviso would be that we would remain local and the BBC site would certainly fit the bill.....

As i posted earlier i would not be in favour of a bowl style stadium but give me one like Genoa's and I for one would be in Seventh heaven ......

And we've still got the record for taking the most amount of fans to Wembley.

                                55 thousand!

There are many part time Rangers fans out there, and if we were to start playing well we could get them back on a more consistent basis.

Look at the ****. They were only getting 10-15k when I was growing up. Suddenly, a rich guy comes along and they start to win things and now it's 'fashionable' to support them. There's a lot in our favour. Close to the City, central London, Westfield, good road and tube links etc.

There are many more clubs with a bigger hardcore support than the ****.

                                1. Man Utd
                                2. Liverpool
                                3. Newcastle
                                4. Man City
                                5. Leeds
                                6. West Ham
                                7. Spurs
                                8. Everton
                                9. Arsenal
                                10. Sheff Wed
                                11. Aston Villa

These are just a few that I can think off the top of my head. I'm sure there are many more.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
