On paper, they have the best starting 11, but certainly not as a squad. They struggled with the loss of Bellamy, and then again with the loss of Bothroyd.
At least with our squad, we have players who have stepped up when called upon. If we lose Smith, we have Hogan, who in fairness has played well this season. Hulse and HH, Mackie and Aggy, Walker and Orr, and so on.
Ok, we're short of cover at LB, but even if we lose Hill, we have the option of playing Walker there and getting Orr back in at RB. Derry and Faurlin both have the capability of marshalling the midfield, and when fit, we even have Buzz to sit in for Taarabt.
I do agree on the part about NW, though. He's a great manager at this level and knows how to get his players performing above their station. His teams always have a great team spirit too.Your mum would love me...

" The big picture
We have the best squad in the league. "
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

There's no way 5 quality/decent players will be available in January and all be prepared to go to Cardiff? Sounds like Jones is preparing his excuses for their failure this season (again!).
Didn't he make noises about us bottling/crumbling under pressure too? Reality is that after going top a few weeks ago Cardiff are the team that's nose-dived..... we've been pretty much a steady fixture at top all season and have patently not bottled it.

Apart from being MOM against Boro he has been very quiet and poor.
I would actually go as far to say we should sell him in Jan as he might represent a fee.
It might be worth looking at a player like Chris Commons to replace him because he will score goals and once again looked lively against a decent norwich side.
Benny not a pop and I would like a reasoning on why you rate Hogan?
We all have difference of opinions and your's is very welcome as I know I need to improve on that aspect.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I would say he has played well in 30% of the games he has been involved in.
Against Boro I thought he was brilliant and infact definately the best player on the pitch that day and fully deserved his MOM.
The problem with Hogan is he really lacks any kind of consistency.
I think many fans called for Tommy Smith 3-4 weeks before NW eventually dropped him. To be fair I am not gonna question Sir Neil because he is the godfather of our club.
Hogan has disappointed me because at times he has promised so much. I wouldn't be disappointed if we sold him to be fair.I played sunday league football today.
