Not as optimistic as they were on Tuesday?
To be fair, the weather forecast at one point did give the impression that the snow was going to stop after Tuesday and that the rest of the week was going to be cold with a mixture of sun and cloud -- probably why they were optimistic.
Forecast though seems to have been changed day-to-day -- 5 day forecast is a complete waste of time to read.

game might be on. Its going to be 5 degrees in surrey on sat.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm forever the optimist, but this game being on looks unlikely.

They should decide on Friday not Saturday

              Agree

Last thing I want to do is get up at 5am on Saturday and traipse over to the Bush to find out the game is off or worse still be a couple of hundred miles up North and find out!

Depends on your ticket. My off peak return (the £80 odd quid jobbie you are likely on?) is refundable (with time restrictions on when so they need to pull their finger out with a decision!) but you pay a fee of £10 for doing it. If you buy the "advance" ones (for named trains) those are less likely to be refundable in any shape. But you will have to check. Your best hope if you have a non-refundable jobbie is that the snow wipes the trains out and them you can make a claim!

Yes, QBP, who couldn't agree that the decision on Friday is needed. And that shouldn't be too much too ask really. I can tell from here it is unlikely - no matter what they do with the pitch the streets and the stands will need to be cleared. Not the refs call - taken by the "safety liaison group" of club, OB council etc. They should meet and call it by noon tomorrow. Long way to go to turn straight back. I for one won't and will be wandering round Hull boozers if they call it off after I've set off - which they surely can't want!

Main roads around Hull are fine its mainly the side streets that are the problem, not sure what its like around KC.

Coach and match tickets are refundable if game postponed and you can't make the new date.
Train companies don't give a flying, I expect -- not there just for the football.
If game goes ahead and we can't make it to LR for the coach -- £120 down the drain.

More chance of Iraq winning the World Cup bidding, than that game going ahead.
