Would you swap Rowlands for Ambrose, with a fee thrown in.

I am not privvy to whether this will happen or not, but papers are reporting Ambrose interest and Rowlands not getting first team games, might move on in January. Though its fair to say, we've already declined a couple of enquiries for Rowly

I'd suggest Ambrose is no better than Rowlands.

    What do you think??

Rowlands in his prime would be a better player but I think they are also different style midfielders. I think Ambrose will get you goals but don't expect him to get stuck in like Rowly. Answer to your question if Neil wants ambrose then I am happy for him to sign.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

What do you base your comments on?

Before his injury Rowlands was our captain, one of our better players and you write him off with a blink of an eye and would replace him with a player who has only done well at a Poor level at Crystal Palace.

None of us have seen Rowlands play at great length since his injury, yet you write him off?

As it stands Ambrose is a better championship player than ROwlands.

                warnock wants ambrose bad.
and ive seen ambrose score a third of martins 13 year career goals last season alone, and ive also seen ambrose scoring and making passes this season again to prove to me why warnock the best manager we have had since tel and soon to be best ever, wants him.
rowlands might of been our captain, but that was cos we were crap and the manager of the week would just let him carry on the job cos he never knew any of our players, he wasnt playing that well before he got crocked.

id swap.. but it isnt like for like.. and only reason for the swap is because rowly is past his prime.. whereas ambrose is peaking
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                  Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

People forget Rowly was in Ireland starting XI before injury, unfortunately his knee is no longer what it was and restricts the best part of his game, harrying and tackling.

Rowlands at his best, over Ambrose ALL DAY.

Ambrose over Rowlands at this current time...yes.

The simple fact is that Rowlands has not been fit for any period of time for several years - I'm sure Sirpie will have the stats. Added to this Rowlands is on the wrong side of 30. Roy Keane is right - football clubs treat players like meat. So we can forget all the platitudes about club captain etc...

All day long. Younger fitter & much more playing time in the tank.

                            No brainer imo.
