    For what it's worth.

    Got a mate who's a season ticket holder at Elland Road and he said last year that he was relieved when Beckford went and they managed to keep hold of Becchio. Rated his all round game far better than Beckford.
    Spoke with him a few weeks back and he reckoned Becchio was doing well at Championship level and was probably their best player.

      @moon safari:

      So the inference is that we will bid for Beckford too, on loan?

        Decent player from what I've seen but I don't really see him giving us much more of an option than what we have. I'd like to see somebody come on board who has a bit of pace!

          looked class last season but that was in a lower division - the same division that Shittu, Santos, Cook, Gallen, Bircham, Bignot etc etc etc looked good in - but there is something there that maybe Warno could develop - just look at Mackie, Derry, Hill and the turn round in Tarbs so yeah lets give him a chance

            We need a poacher not a another target man.

              It could have some truth in it since Leeds signed up David Somma for another 3 years. Have you seen this guy? He'll be really good a year or so from now..scored 6 goals this season so far and my guess is around 15 or above next season.

                The same Dave Somma who we had on trial the other year or so ago.

                    From Wikipedia.............

                    In July 2009, Somma took part in a trial with Queens Park Rangers and played in a pre-season fixture as a winger. After his trial at QPR, Somma took part in a trial at Leeds United, and earned an extended spell at the club

                      Don't think he's any improvement over Hulse to be honest!

                        Maybe not at the moment but he'll improve...can't see how he won't be in a few seasons. But, sure..I might be wrong, who hasn't been wrong before?
