I make that correct. Vela is the TYPE of player we need. As he hasn't played for or against QPR I haven't studied him enough to give a verdict. If NW wants him and the fact he plays for Arsenal I will go with it, especially as he is the nippy small type of striker that we are missing.

Where has this rumour come from anyway??
      Apart from www.stabinthedark.co.uk

Looks like a random player, randomly linked with a couple of random clubs to me.
Link being clicked, bit of traffic for that site, so job done.

Agreed mate. Mine wasn't to get excited of the prospect...Just stating my thoughts on his ability at this level.

Still, I suppose we all know more than the men who get paid to do this job, eh?
        Your mum would love me...

I would personally love him to come to us Arsene doesnt keep players around for the sake of it he has ability and him and tarrabt would be amazing in one team if and only if they can play together so would have to trust in NW

Agree with Benny, this is the kind of player I hoped we would be linked with rather than glorified donkeys such as Beccio. His scoring record at international football (one in three) when you consider that Mexico often play against top opposition puts him in a different league to any of our other strikers. He also has skill and pace which are not attributes you would associate with Hulse (not having a go at Hulse, just recognising his limitations). He is precisely the "plan b" we have lacked on occasion this season, a better Jay Simpson.

disagree but I won't go any further as I know many will complain.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Don't buy this rumour for one second.

But if it happens to have some credibility... of course he's more than good enough for this league.
Very good young player, WAY above the level of most CCC strikers.

Not a natural goal scorer though and his stats don't lie. He has a very poor scoring record when playing out in spain too.

But at what level? What is his record at this level?

Looking at Jon Walters and Luke Varney's record in this division you'd think they'd never score a goal in the Premiership but have. Stats don't always tell the truth and that's coming from someone who loves stats.

Sirpie to be fair his poor finishing isn't the only aspect of his game that concerns me. I don't think he has any bottle and I think if someone kicks him he will definately go missing. He might play tonight against wigan so it will be interesting to see how he does. Seem to do ok in the carling cup but I just don't think he's as great as everyone thinks. Just my opinion of course. If Neil signs him then I will admit I am wrong but I don't think Neil will get him if he has the chance.

Vela has made 29 Premiership appearances for Arsenal but in total minutes he's played less than 9 matches (732 minutes) scoring 3 goals in the process or a goal every 244 minutes which is better than 1 in 3.

Just being linked to this quality of player, shows how far we've come.
                                Long may it continue!
