  • Rob Hulse

i know every will have their own opinions on him but i thought saturday he was absolutely mustard. Bloke rang up 606 saying the reason we had so much possession is beacaus Hulse holds up the ball so well. Very true. his touch is extremely good and the bloke is a brute two. I know defenders hate to play against a nippy striker but to be fair alot dont like playing agaist a big bloke who kicks them elbows them and is generally a right wa nker to them all game. A brilliant signing yet hes only scored 1 goal. Fair play to him i think hes doing a fine job.

Warnock likes to play with a big man who can knock it down for the quality players to do their stuff. Hulse was quality on Sat, not quite as good as helguson this season imho but a great addition, will he play him at Hull?

Got to agree. Run his socks off. I thought he was MOM on Saturday. I proper handful. Won most headers, and held the ball up well. He might not score a bucket load as yet, but he's enabling others to use the space he creates.

          yeah

i also do love the big man who can hold the ball up,and enable mackie adel and smith to get into striking positions, but more than anything......................i love the way that warnock gets the team to play in this rigid format, its all about warnock he is god

            What a game!

Will be a big big player for us this season. His strength & hold up play on Saturday was superb.

Did you see the way he held the ball up & then the lay off for Mackie's curling top corner effort? Proper player for this division & will chip in with 10 goals this season I feel.

Yes he had a good game, but he has missed a lot of sitters before Saturday.

Needs to get his eye in and we will have a decent striker.

I still think up front is our weakest area. The good news is he seems to be on the road to full sharpness.

He had his best game for us I thought (was also excellent against Preston). My only problem is not so much with him as the tactics: many of the balls he won were flick ons but as he was alone up front with Mackie anonymous for large stretches there was hardly ever anyone to run onto them. Heider, in contrast tends to hold the ball up by heading it back to an on-rushing midfield player which I think works better with our system.
