Just the actual build or the whole planning applications ?

I'm the former, 2-3 years depending on size. A good 6 years (and counting) in planning though....depending on how friendly your local authority is and what quango's and other peripheral groups want a pound of flesh out of you too...

Maybe I've just had a bad experience!

Not a hope of us ending up in this site. Not a hope.

Thinking about it, I don't think the local trafic infrastructure could take a 30k site, with westfields already stretching it to breaking point. On reflection it maybe a no go, hope I am wrong.
          Kept the faith!

Both Nodge but surely plans of some sort must have been drawn up by architects for QPR directors / owners to study? Obviously I know its hard to plan without having yet acquired a site but on the presumption we're looking at a 30,000 arena they must have something to look at no?

Seems an awfully long time. Did Reading & Cardiff take 6 years in the planning & construction of their respective stadiums?

Thanks for the tip Dazzer. Would tick a lot of boxes as no fan could complain about moving ground this close (indeed, it would actually be quicker than our historic home of White City). Only reservation would be if it was was incorporated into a race track. Warno made a point of praising the atmosphere inside Loftus Rd on Sat. Be great if we could re-create that in a new stadium with the stands adjoining the pitch.

[QUOTE=Dazzer1977;487131]Nodge - the site is massive. More than big enough to build a stadium on it. It runs from Wood Lane and includes the BBC Park and the Astroturf pitch I believe.

Also they can keep that Grade 1 listed doughnut part as the main entrance to the Boutique.[/QUOTE

i cant belive the bbc owns the astroturf Dazzer plus there is an army barracks in the way
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

Sorry for all the comedy earlier. I'm sure Arsenals ground never really took that long in total to complete did it?

They own the park which backs onto the BBC and the astroturf falls within the parks ground.

Actually thinking about it Dazzer I think Nodge's 6 year time frame could actually be about right for Arsenal as I seem to remember talks of Ashburton Grove years before the ground opened.

Does seem long though. I was hoping for 2-3 years from now.

The BBC world site which was the other side of the A40 is currently being demolished.

Could this be the site of QPR’s Thirteenth Home? Not a bad sized plot

It is twelve homes we had isn’t it? It’s the most out of all the 92 clubs I believe

Ages ago a mate had a theory, which kind of made sense...

Bernie hates Silverstone and would love to get a London F1 race (remember when they did the F1 day a few years back?), and what with the Mittal's steel, the BBC site would be perfect for both a track and a new stadium. Owning QPR, and with the council keen to keep us in the area, this may make any planning permission easier than just the F1 facilities.

May be garbage, but seemed to be sound reasoning to me.

I have to say if that site becomes available and we have the backing it would be criminal not to go for it.
