POLL: Would Ledesma Get In The Side Now?

He never excited the fans that much. The fans were simply SPUN fluff from the club, they brought into it and with weeks he was found out and soon left. If he was really any good he would have been picked up by another decent side. Instead I will have to do some real digging around to find out who he plays for as I haven't got the foggiest where he is?

I voted bench because,I think Warnock could have made Ledesma into a decent entertainer. Many posters on here thought he was quality, and he didnt get too many chances after the Carlisle match where he played fairly good.
I do also wonder wheter Hogan is so much better than Ledesma really?
Hogan is a useful squadplayer so why shouldnt Ledesma coached by Curle and Warnock obtained such a status as well?

he is still owned by Genoa, but he is now 'co-owned' by Crotone in Serie B...

basically means if he does the business for Crotone he'll go back to Genoa

I would like to add the fact the posters on this site voted Ladesma for man of the match for all the games till the Carlisle game.

1) People don't read posts thoroughly

2) More than 50% of voters reckon Ledesma could be on the bench of our team

I liked Ledesma and like Minty's post. Always respect Dazzer's contributions but think there is some re-writing of history going on. At the time pretty well everyone was v excited by him. The commentator on Sky said something like "I've just seen the Championship player of the season, and his name is Ledesma". If I'm not mistaken there was a poll on here asking if we thought the club should take up its 3m (Euro?) option to buy him, and many were beside themselves when the club said it wasn't in any hurry to make it permanent.
The serious point in all of this is that the failure here of Ledesma shows the failure of English football. He clearly had a lot more natural ability than many other players in our squad. Unless his attitude was terrible (which I never saw any sign of) then our coaches should have done better (as Warno has done with Taraabt) to develop him into a hardworking, useful team player.
I would be very sorry if he doesn't make it to the big time as he had considerable talent and also came across as a very charming guy. I for one would rather him on the bench than Leon Clarke and think Warno could do great things with him.
