  • Friends Who Support Other Clubs

After about 15 years of being told we are shite, got no support and we are going nowhere and will go out of business, anyone else finding great satisfaction in seeing those people go a bit quiet or give you a bit more respect.

I notice Chelsea fans that you know go a bit quiet and Fulham fans feel strongly we might be swapping divisions.

The wait is starting to be worth it

Got so much stick the last 15 years. even when we got promoted from league 1, people still said we were rubbish because we did not win our league. Vauxhall motors, Bankole, oxford away etc etc etc

I work with a lot of West Ham fans.
No problem with The 'Ammers, but........

...... it would be nice for me to ask them on a friday, "who have you got tomorrow?"
And for THEM to answer, "Doncaster away".

And for me to say, "Oh...... well good luck".
While pretending to give a flying f**k.

I am not counting my chickens until they have grown up and been roasted and eaten.

But it is great to be top of the league and it seems that now everyone knows about it....many fans of Premier League clubs never have a clue who is top of the Championship......people are starting to sit up and take note!

People who would ask how we got on when you know they already knew have now stopped asking.

One of my mates is a Liverpool fan, he's been more interested in us this season than his own team!

The wait has definitely NOT been worth it.
Far too long and some pretty miserable times along the way, not least Vauxhall Motors, my own low point.

My only comfort is many friends support the *****s from Kenilworthless Road, and their plight has been considerably worse. Deep joy !

But there's still a long way to go, let's not get carried away, it's QPR, so there's plenty of scope for us to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

It's brilliant. They're all starting to sit up and take note now, about time! Like people said, well worth the wait.

I am absolutely having a ball at the moment, all those fans of so called big clubs are getting it both barrels
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

I find it an age thing. Most people I know are premiership club teams fans so although they think they are better than us, due to their age they do remember us being a top tier team so are looking forward to us returning to the premier, I find it's more the younger lot that think we are not good enough to go up (not their fault it's just how they've been brought up with the media hype on the top clubs).
