  • If Taarabt get injured

Read through Cardiff's MB and some said we are an average mid table side without Taarabt. Do you thing we can keep our lead at the top of the table If Taarabt get injured?

Who knows if we could stay top without him, maybe we could, maybe we couldn't.

All I do know is we would miss him massively, but we have other players who are match winners. I thought Smith was superb yesterday.

We have Buzsacky who would fit into Taarabt's position, but I read somewhere that Warnock is desperate for another 'Adel option', so maybe he'll address this issue in January.

Thing is, Taarabts are few and far between at Championship level
      Be nice to Minty

Faurlin, Buzz, Derry, Smith, Mackie, Connolly, Walker, Gorkss, Kenny, Hill, Ephraim, Heider, Hulse, Aggy, Orr...I'm pretty sure they've all played a big part this season, so yes - I think we'll be fine.
        Your mum would love me...

We should buy Adam Hammill from Barnsley, he is the closest player like Adel i've seen in this division!!!!

You could say something similar about virtually every team. Cardiff look average without Boothroyd. Cardiff fans were ignoring we have Buz to come back from injury who 90% of Championship clubs would build their teams around if he were fit.

Yes Tarrabt is an important player to us and on his day is a match winner. That is obvious to all.

However, we have won plenty of games where he goes missing and doesn't perform at his best so I think we would deffo do ok without him if he was to get injured.

In fact it would be interesting to see the other players get a chance!

We play to our strengths. Without taarabt I think we'd change our approach and others would get more chances. Smith seems the likely candidate to fill Taarabts hole (ooh err) and he's a giver unlike taarabt the taker.

Basically I think we'd play more as team. Not at all saying we'd be better as I enjoy watching AT play as the next Rangers man.

Was having this chat on the way back...

Think he'd be a massive miss as he is a beast of a player at present..

Yes there are other very tasty contributors but AT is immense and very much a one off in any division let alone the championship...

Think we have enough in the bank and in the team to make a decent fist of getting into the PO's but there is NO way we'd get automatic promotion if he got injured for any length of time.. ie 10-15games..

Anyway, let's hope this thread is hypothetical as would hate to see us without AT as I just lap up watching this guy play....

He'll leave one day so am making the most of having the privilege of seeing him in a Hooped shirt...

Roll on Hull next week as have been given teh green light from the missus...

                      He already has: Vaagan Moen

For the last year or so Vaagan Moen has played in a similar position as Taarabt. It´s in this role Warnock & Co has followed him for the last 6 months before they decided to sign him.
..If Watson comes, he needs to improve massivly from what he showed last time he was here... I have my doubts though..

hes our heartbeat, and without him we would still be a really strong side, but nowhere near a side who can win games like we did yesterday. there would be even more draws than we have had already imho.
